“1st time stopping here for lunch & we will for sure be back. I asked bartender Glen what the best sandwiches was & he said all of them. He was not wrong!! Owner & chef Micheal made the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. My husband, daughter & I tried each of our sandwiches the turkey, the classic,& pulled chicken. We couldn’t pick a favorite. The tomato bisque & mac n cheese were also amazing. The fun atmosphere was enjoyable to look at during the short wait. Highly recommend!!“
“I stopped in here for dinner and had a great experience. The food was great (I highly recommend the massaman curry) and the atmosphere/vibe was laid back. I also liked the open kitchen which kept things just lively enough and not too quiet.“
“I ordered delivery through Doordash, so I cannot speak to the in-restaurant experience, but the food was really good, even with the delay from preparation to delivery. It was hot, flavorful, fresh, and far better than any of the similar dishes I have tried elsewhere in the area recently. I will definitely go back.“
“I love this place! My friends and I go here all the time. It's a great place for a casual hangout or even a birthday dinner! I normally get the rice noodles with bone-in beef or bone-in pork, and it is always delicious. You get so much food for such a great price. The broth was so rich and savory, and the mixture of toppings in the broth paired perfectly with the meat and noodles. In addition, the food comes out so quickly and the staff are always so helpful and understanding! I highly recommend going here if you find yourself on University Avenue.“
“I have always liked The Olive Garden! Foods that Built America 2024 has an interesting segment on the restaurant. Starting from scratch by Campbell's Soup executives who knew nothing about the restaurant business. The original name was The Olive Tree, which was already taken. Unable to get orders out fast enough on opening day, a decision to bring bread and salad to the table was born. Which I love!“
“Tasty lunch buffet with plenty of options. Food was hot and fresh. The dining room was occupied but not so busy that we couldn't find seating. Tasty desserts, not cloyingly sweet. I liked the fish. Goat curry had nice flavor but was a little tough. I liked the spinach, the pickles, and the black lentil dal. Darjeeling tea turned bitter but tasted good at first. The naan was awesome. The chicken was nice and moist too. Good attentive service. Will return.Vegetarian options: Some paneer stuff, spinach, coconut soup, naan, dal, beverages, desserts“
“Food was hot and as fresh as can be. Order at the counter for to go or there is a small, clean dining room to sit. The meal was brought out to me, hot and delicious and quickly. I would highly recommend, a hidden gem. Also you can tell the kitchen staff works hard to get the food out quickly.“
“Stopped by here for a quick bite. The service was really fast and we were greeted and seated almost immediately. The place has nothing special to it decor-wise. Wouldn't say it's a fancy place or anything. Most of the other patrons seemed to be college students. I was there with some old college friends and family. Great atmosphere to just catch up over food. The menu seemed to have more authentic Chinese food rather than focus on the Americanized things like Crab ragoons and orange chicken. They had bull frogs, duck, and other options. Very nice selection. And very fairly priced.I had the Mongolian beef. We also got country style pork and beef fried rice. All were generously portioned enough to share. The food tasted great and I will definitely be going back.OverallIf you're looking for good Chinese food location, this is a great spot. Beware their food isn't exactly like the typical Chinese-American restaurant (but they do have those options too). Not a place that would impress a date on the first night. But definitely would be great to go with friends. Only down side was we never got water refills.“
“Wowwwww.I'm in Madison for a business trip and didn't have a clue what I was going to do for food, since I'm vegan and prefer gluten free options. I've already resigned to my fate when traveling with a crew of carnivores (zero shade, just dietary differences), so imagine my surprise when my colleagues said they know a place with good food and they brought me HERE!!!I looked up at the menu and thought I went to heaven. Soooo many options, for the first time on the trip I actually had to think what I WANT to have rather than what I CAN have. And then the food arrived and it DELIVERED.The tofu chilli buff (I think that's what it was called?) was spectacular, and really nailed the spice balance. Our entire crew was well fed and enjoyed the place very much.I look forward to going back again. Might just get take out from there for the duration of my time in WI.Excellent job to the restaurant team ??I highly recommend you go check them out ?“
