Also, the food was delicious, our server recommended I try the strawberry burrata which was amazing. I would stop by again. Five stars.“

If it says spicy it’s spicy but it also delivers a balance of flavor with heat. It was an explosion of awesome in my mouth. “We held a birthday party at State Line Distillery on short notice due to weather concerns with the outdoor venue that was planned. They were exceptionally welcoming and extremely accommodating. So many guests commented on what a great space State Line offers—both inside and outside. Not to mention the delicious high-quality drinks and friendly, helpful staff. “I’ve been to RED several times, and it keeps me coming back. I really enjoy the modern atmosphere. The lighting, colors, and background music give it a relaxed lounge vibe without being too loud or distracting.

The service has always been excellent, and the food comes out surprisingly fast. The sashimi is fresh with a great selection of fish, and the presentation is beautiful. The miso soup was outstanding, and I always think that’s a good sign of a quality sushi restaurant.“

“Fantastic cozy bar. This was our first stop on a round of three different bars recently and was by far our favorite. The decor is somewhat sparse and reminiscent of an art gallery, but the lighting and fun amenities (arts & crafts, coffee table books, Thursday night free snacks) add to the charm. The drinks were unique and fresh and the service was good. I appreciated the offerings of N/A beverages that weren’t just soda on tap. I had a grapefruit Sage fizzy N/A drink and my spouse had a lovely gin mixed drink (gin, passion fruit, tea). Definitely will be back!“

“I planned a 30 person surprise brunch party at Madison’s and they did a great job in every way. They were specifically good at communicating before hand and adjusting to my requests like ordering a champagne tower, and having drinks for me and my fiancée ready at the door when we walked in. Food and drinks were quick and the price was in my budget. I worked with Andrea, Henry, Hailey and Rachel was our server. The staff seemed like they were genuinely having a great time with us and having this party.“

“Haven promises to live up to it's name and rather more. In the midst of many, many new Asian restaurants on or near State Street, Haven stands out for having a warm, open, well-lit and tasteful atmosphere--including not only a few games but a well-chosen, literate bookshelf that welcomes you to linger. The tea selection finally brings us back to the long-lost day of Dobra tea, finally expanding the State Street area Asian dining experience beyond bag tea. The food is equal to these other successes. I had the braised beef noodle bowl. This was a generous, flavorful no-nonsense bowl with a goodly bone-n joint of beef in the midst of the other hearty chucks of meat. The broth and the noodles were up to the same generous, flavorful standard. I observed in passing that they seem to have the liquor selection they will need to fit in with State Street, though that isn't a reason why I stopped in. I will certainly be back.“

“Chocolate Shoppe catered our wedding dessert and they were completely perfect! They bring a truck with about ten flavors including 1-2 DF flavors, and scoop into dishes or cones. The guests loved it on a hot, summer day, and it felt a lot more memorable than cake. They were super easy to work with in booking the event and the employee who worked our event was so kind. It was a huge hit and the ice cream was, of course, delicious! We would definitely book them again for a large event and would recommend them to friends.“

“Madison Sourdough doesn't really need another 5-star rating. However, I just want to make a comment on this amazing establishment. This is a special bakery. The bread made here is some the best we have had. The Miche is out of this world, get one if you can. The other sourdough bread options (batards) are great too, especially the one with pepitas/polenta. Their other bakery items and pastries are wonderful. Their croissants are perfectly browned, buttery and flaky. Their elevated food options are worth planning for if you are hungry for breakfast or lunch. If in Madison...put this place on your intinerary!“

“First time at Twisted Grounds but right from the moment you walk in you know what kind of service you’re getting.

The employees were so sweet and kind and helped with any and all questions.
The atmosphere is really fun lots of windows and plants and a variety of seating like desks and tables for eating or studying tables for board games/chess and couches for chatting or reading.

As for the menu there is tons of coffee, tea, food and even some alcohol options. Along with a dietary restrictions key.

Service was quick and and will definitely be coming back here sometime soon.“

“The shop is adorable and has such a cozy atmosphere, it’s a great place to sit and get some work done.

The real highlight, though, is their chai. I’m a huge chai drinker, and their iced chai, the “Chai’d & True” is easily the best I’ve had in Madison. It’s always perfectly balanced and consistently delicious.

The food menu is pretty limited with a few pastries options and honestly they are hit or miss which is the only reason I can’t leave 5 stars. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a cute coffee shop with excellent chai.“

Erin & Rita create the perfect at ease vibe in the dining area to compliment the mastery that goes on in the kitchen. (Erin went out of her way to return my forgotten wallet!) I really can't praise this place enough. If you're a recovering Midwestern pallet like me, Dan Dan & Ryans Chicken are the gateways to paradise.
