“This is one of my FAVORITE places in the Madison area; HANDS DOWN!! 🙌🏻 The best thing about this place is the people. 💯 The vibe you’ll find is one of humility, salt of the earth, kindness, inclusiveness, all are welcomed, loved, and accepted here type of place. I liken it to that bar, Cheers, where everybody knows your name… 😆❤️‍🩹🥹 Now, who wouldn’t want to hang at a place like that? 🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜🤍 But, wait! “We met friends who were from out of town for lunch at Buck & Honey's on Sunday. They had never been there, so with my wife and me having been there before and very much impressed, we suggested it. What an incredible atmosphere, superb food quality and service that is so rare these days. We sure had a very memorable time and dining experience and will be coming back again very soon. Our guests could not stop raving about this place also. A shot out to our waitress Aliyah for such an outstanding job taking care of us. You sure are excellent at what you do and we thank you sincerely!“

“Great authentic Mexican food. I had the steak fajitas burrito. It was delicious and huge. I also had a couple margaritas and they were excellent. We had a family of four, all adult meals, and some margaritas and price was better than expected for the size and quality of the meals and drinks.“

“I ordered 10 pizzas for an after-work get-together, and a local buddy here recommended Sal’s tomato pies. Now, to be clear, I'm from Boston, and we have the North End, with some of the best pizza in the world. I was skeptical, but I did it anyway. Was I glad I did! The pizza was amazing and fresh, and the toppings were great. We got a variety of their named pizzas and made a couple of custom ones. The pizza was a big hit! Try it—you can't go wrong, I promise.“

“It took me 40 years to try actual, real sushi. And it did not disappoint. There were 3 specialty vegan rolls on the menu, and we ordered one of each (one of them was seasonal). My favorite of the 3 was the Nutty Vegan. Even though it had some kick due to the chili sauce, the Tofu and the peanut chunks were an amazing combo. The other 2 were very good as well. Due to the cost ($18 for 1 specialty roll), I wouldnt make this a regular go-to, but for an occasion or just a one-off, you definitely can't go wrong. Great ambience and vibe as well. And our server was very knowledgeable. Oh and they also threw in a complimentary dessert because we were celebrating my wife's birthday. 10/10 would highly recommend.“

“We held a birthday party at State Line Distillery on short notice due to weather concerns with the outdoor venue that was planned. They were exceptionally welcoming and extremely accommodating. So many guests commented on what a great space State Line offers—both inside and outside. Not to mention the delicious high-quality drinks and friendly, helpful staff. High praise and top recommendations for this local gem. 💜“

“It’s hard to make food a sexual experience but the Spicy Shrimp Po’ Boy f***** my face. Fuckin’ F**** a lot of places tone spice down for ‘general pop’ but this place gives it to you raw. If it says spicy it’s spicy but it also delivers a balance of flavor with heat. It was an explosion of awesome in my mouth. So, if you are looking to eat some delicious food while in Madison and need a foodgasm, visit Stadium Take Out you will have your mind blown.“

“Chocolate Shoppe catered our wedding dessert and they were completely perfect! They bring a truck with about ten flavors including 1-2 DF flavors, and scoop into dishes or cones. The guests loved it on a hot, summer day, and it felt a lot more memorable than cake. They were super easy to work with in booking the event and the employee who worked our event was so kind. It was a huge hit and the ice cream was, of course, delicious! We would definitely book them again for a large event and would recommend them to friends.“

“We were in town for a show and swing in for their Tuesday chicken sandwich special. Probably one of the absolute best chicken sandwiches we’ve had. We planned on splitting a sandwich but after a minor mishap, chef ended up making us each a sandwich and my oh my it did not disappoint. “Fantastic cozy bar. This was our first stop on a round of three different bars recently and was by far our favorite. The decor is somewhat sparse and reminiscent of an art gallery, but the lighting and fun amenities (arts & crafts, coffee table books, Thursday night free snacks) add to the charm. The drinks were unique and fresh and the service was good. I appreciated the offerings of N/A beverages that weren’t just soda on tap. I had a grapefruit Sage fizzy N/A drink and my spouse had a lovely gin mixed drink (gin, passion fruit, tea). Definitely will be back!“

“Haven promises to live up to it's name and rather more. In the midst of many, many new Asian restaurants on or near State Street, Haven stands out for having a warm, open, well-lit and tasteful atmosphere--including not only a few games but a well-chosen, literate bookshelf that welcomes you to linger. The tea selection finally brings us back to the long-lost day of Dobra tea, finally expanding the State Street area Asian dining experience beyond bag tea. The food is equal to these other successes. I had the braised beef noodle bowl. This was a generous, flavorful no-nonsense bowl with a goodly bone-n joint of beef in the midst of the other hearty chucks of meat. The broth and the noodles were up to the same generous, flavorful standard. I observed in passing that they seem to have the liquor selection they will need to fit in with State Street, though that isn't a reason why I stopped in. I will certainly be back.“

The only reason I didn’t give five star for atmosphere is it’s quite loud. But tasteful and enjoyed the art. And the only reason I didn’t give five star for food is we looked at the menu ahead of time and when we got there the items we want were no longer being served. What we substituted instead was tasty.“
