“This restaurant is right next to a hotel I'm staying in, and so I decided to stop in. I got the General Tso's chicken and vegetable lo mein, both were excellent, has to be some of the best in the Madison area. The portions are large, the price is good, and the people working there were very friendly. I am looking forward to trying some more noodle dishes next time.“

“We are really happy that we chose Capital for our wedding reception. Dawn and colleagues were very accommodating and helpful, and the bartenders on the night were fantastic. We had the two indoors rooms and access to the biergarten, and (despite my best efforts with a killer wedding playlist) by the end of the night everyone was out in the biergarten listening to the great live band. Great venue, great people, great beer. Thank you!“

“It’s hard to make food a sexual experience but the Spicy Shrimp Po’ Boy f***** my face. Fuckin’ F**** a lot of places tone spice down for ‘general pop’ but this place gives it to you raw. If it says spicy it’s spicy but it also delivers a balance of flavor with heat. It was an explosion of awesome in my mouth. So, if you are looking to eat some delicious food while in Madison and need a foodgasm, visit Stadium Take Out you will have your mind blown.“

“We held a birthday party at State Line Distillery on short notice due to weather concerns with the outdoor venue that was planned. They were exceptionally welcoming and extremely accommodating. So many guests commented on what a great space State Line offers—both inside and outside. Not to mention the delicious high-quality drinks and friendly, helpful staff. High praise and top recommendations for this local gem. 💜“

“If I could give Red more stars, I would. The food, drinks, and service are always top-notch. I highly recommend Red with my eyes closed. Don't miss out on the seasonals—Purple Reign was SO, SO GOOD. We might go back to try it again before they remove it from the menu.“

“Fantastic cozy bar. This was our first stop on a round of three different bars recently and was by far our favorite. The decor is somewhat sparse and reminiscent of an art gallery, but the lighting and fun amenities (arts & crafts, coffee table books, Thursday night free snacks) add to the charm. The drinks were unique and fresh and the service was good. I appreciated the offerings of N/A beverages that weren’t just soda on tap. I had a grapefruit Sage fizzy N/A drink and my spouse had a lovely gin mixed drink (gin, passion fruit, tea). Definitely will be back!“

“I planned a 30 person surprise brunch party at Madison’s and they did a great job in every way. They were specifically good at communicating before hand and adjusting to my requests like ordering a champagne tower, and having drinks for me and my fiancée ready at the door when we walked in. Food and drinks were quick and the price was in my budget. I worked with Andrea, Henry, Hailey and Rachel was our server. The staff seemed like they were genuinely having a great time with us and having this party.“

In the midst of many, many new Asian restaurants on or near State Street, Haven stands out for having a warm, open, well-lit and tasteful atmosphere--including not only a few games but a well-chosen, literate bookshelf that welcomes you to linger. The tea selection finally brings us back to the long-lost day of Dobra tea, finally expanding the State Street area Asian dining experience beyond bag tea. The food is equal to these other successes. I had the braised beef noodle bowl. This was a generous, flavorful no-nonsense bowl with a goodly bone-n joint of beef in the midst of the other hearty chucks of meat. The broth and the noodles were up to the same generous, flavorful standard. I observed in passing that they seem to have the liquor selection they will need to fit in with State Street, though that isn't a reason why I stopped in. I will certainly be back.“

The team at Delta was incredibly easy to work with throughout the planning process and made the entire evening feel seamless. “One of my favorite foods is pastys, I was excited to learn about this place, otherwise you would find them normal in the u.p area of Wisconsin. All of the varieties are great! Had the chicken tikka masala one today, was awesome! I do like they wrap it in foil, because my 40min drive home it's still warm!“

A wide selection of sushimi and sushi, as well as appetizers, and an assortment of entrees too. There are many items to choose from on the menu so even if you're not a sushi eater there's likely something for you. Good service but there can be a wait between courses if it's busy.“

“The shop is adorable and has such a cozy atmosphere, it’s a great place to sit and get some work done.

The real highlight, though, is their chai. I’m a huge chai drinker, and their iced chai, the “Chai’d & True” is easily the best I’ve had in Madison. It’s always perfectly balanced and consistently delicious.

The food menu is pretty limited with a few pastries options and honestly they are hit or miss which is the only reason I can’t leave 5 stars. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a cute coffee shop with excellent chai.“

“Madison Sourdough doesn't really need another 5-star rating. However, I just want to make a comment on this amazing establishment. This is a special bakery. The bread made here is some the best we have had. The Miche is out of this world, get one if you can. The other sourdough bread options (batards) are great too, especially the one with pepitas/polenta. Their other bakery items and pastries are wonderful. Their croissants are perfectly browned, buttery and flaky. Their elevated food options are worth planning for if you are hungry for breakfast or lunch. If in Madison...put this place on your intinerary!“

Erin & Rita create the perfect at ease vibe in the dining area to compliment the mastery that goes on in the kitchen. (Erin went out of her way to return my forgotten wallet!) I really can't praise this place enough. If you're a recovering Midwestern pallet like me, Dan Dan & Ryans Chicken are the gateways to paradise. I can't have Dan Dan anywhere else now - if it's not Hutong, its not Dan Dan XD“
