“Discovered this truly hidden gem while we were at a training last month… we visited every day that week and can’t stop thinking about the awesome miel they made me and that spiced pear vegan donut!! If you are in the area or happen to be fortunate enough to live close… RUN RUN RUN and try just about anything they have because it’s all just splendid!“

“1st time stopping here for lunch & we will for sure be back. I asked bartender Glen what the best sandwiches was & he said all of them. He was not wrong!! Owner & chef Micheal made the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. My husband, daughter & I tried each of our sandwiches the turkey, the classic,& pulled chicken. We couldn’t pick a favorite. The tomato bisque & mac n cheese were also amazing. The fun atmosphere was enjoyable to look at during the short wait. Highly recommend!!“
“I've enjoyed State Line spirits many times in the past but a group of friends and I recently booked a tasting for ten at the distillery for my belated birthday. It was an outrageously awesome evening! We were able to use the back room just for our group which was so comfortable (and unexpected) and it provided a really enjoyable ambiance for our evening together.Highlights of our night:1) Being able to bring in your own food (which they allow per the website) or buying food there adds to the experience and makes it more enjoyable to stay. They offer a solid range of snacks.2) The staff were all genuinely friendly and helpful - exceptional service from them.3) The list of cocktails is thoughtfully produced. These are lovely and interesting cocktails and fit a variety of tastes and the prices are absolutely reasonable for what you're getting. I had some that are definitely in my wheelhouse and one that I would not have normally ordered but *loved*. They'll also mix up a cocktail for you with their bartender's choice menu option either with your input (such as a spirit you like or an ingredient you don't enjoy) or a true bartender's choice where they pick it all, if you want to shake things up.4) The owner clearly has a lot of love and integrity in what he creates. It's refreshing to see this authenticity (and the spirits back it up). Everyone in our group loved being able to chat with him during the tour and ask all sorts of questions.5) Trying the base spirits at the end of the tour is a perfect way to really get to know the spirit for its own merits and not just blended into a drink.6) You can order drinks at the bar or use the QR code, which is unique to your table, and then the staff will bring your drinks to you. It might seem simple, but the QR code was super convenient (though some friends also ordered at the bar anyway!).Could not recommend going here *more*, whether for an afternoon/evening on the patio on a nice warm day or anytime in their indoor space!“

“Fantastic service by Mathias, it’s not very often that I give a 25% tip but he truly deserved it. Food was so delish, fast, and fresh! Highly recommend the Spicy garlic edamame and pork buns to start. We had the lobster dumplings which were equally as delicious. We will be back.“

“Madison's on King Street in downtown Madison is always a great place for food, drinks, and hanging out with friends or coworkers. It's one of my favorite spots for happy hour. They have a great happy hour menu and it's from 4-6pm Tuesday thru Friday. Their spicy margarita and dry rubbed wings are delicious!“
“Alright....small quaint brewery with excellent beer choices. The owners are great and down to earth... very personable. This place is clean and trendy. Also, the tables and benches are real wood with wheels, and they are beautiful. Dog friendly, which is always a plus. Every beer that I have by this place is very solid. I'm glad I finally made it to GJB. It's worth the stop...for sure.“

“One of my favorite foods is pastys, I was excited to learn about this place, otherwise you would find them normal in the u.p area of Wisconsin. All of the varieties are great! Had the chicken tikka masala one today, was awesome! I do like they wrap it in foil, because my 40min drive home it's still warm!“
“IF is creative and amazing! My wife and popped in for a drink on a random Friday night and immediately fell in love with their drinks and service. After being there for about an hour we decided this was the place to have my wife’s birthday party. Hastings was very easy to work and helped plan an amazing party. They were able to curate an amazing drink menu and also have a creative N/A drink list. Since the Party was a brunch, many ppl enjoyed the different options. Both the night we popped in and the day of the party Kelsey took amazing care of us and our entire group. We had a large party, but the staff never struggled keeping up. We were also able to bring in our food for the brunch which was a plus. I cannot say enough about this place, I highly recommend for fun evening and especially a private party!“

“Great local neighborhood bar. Best whiskey bar in Madison. Also a very good craft beer selection and great beers on tap. With October almost here I had to stop by Bill's bar to try his Oktoberfest beer on tap and wasn't disappointed. It was great and a good size mug (see pic attached). You can find some of the most unique beer and premium whiskey selections in Madison. Great to support locally owned Madison establishments like the Malt House. There is no food kitchen, but you can get food delivered. Check out the Malt House Facebook page to see what nights local bands are playing here.Parking: If you get here early, there is a parking lot at the Malt House. On a busy night you may have to get nearby (free) street parking.“

“Bustling area of Madison with great service and excellent food. This place has charm of an old Wisconsin tavern, love the new cozy space added inside. The brunch menu, Pastrami Hash, chef's kiss! Enjoy having the self service station for water/coffee.“
“There is an outdoor terrace as well as an indoor one, so you can drink wine in a nice atmosphere. There are several types of wine. We bought white wine, almond champagne, and olive oil. I tried dry wine and it was ok and tasted good. You can also see a small vineyard outside.“

“We got their baguette, signature sourdough batard, carrot cake and roast beef sandwich. I would say their breads are good but too crunchy to the point it is hard to eat. The roast beef sandwich was delicious but I wished they would toast it. Then again, their breads were too rustic and crunchy. Toasting it would be hard to consume and enjoy the sandwich. Now, moving for the desserts, the carrot cake was good and not overly sweet. Wished it had some nuts, raisins and carrots inside the cake. Overall, it has a lot of potentials, just wish the breads were not too crunchy.“

“This place has some of the BEST coffee in Madison. But the real reason I'll keep coming back is because of the OUTSTANDING customer service. Lucy remembered me and my coffee order after only one visit!! This will forever be one of my favorite spots!“
“Micheal the sales rep actually took the time to try to call the distributor and find this wonderful gluten free nector of the gods for my other half. “Best ice cream in Wisconsin. ☺️ Very clean environment with a broad selection of rich wares to select from. It seems you really cannot go wrong, though I can strongly recommend the lemon poppyseed and the chocolate flavors. Just heavenly. There is a very pleasant little outdoor seating area around the back complete with umbrellas for shade.“
“fantastic atmosphere and well crafted vegan menu! great for people looking for a culinary experience. the complimentary digestifs offered at the end of service is a nice touch. Thoughtful local sourcing makes for the freshest, most delicious food, with phenomenal cocktail pairings.“

“The food is delicious and the people who work there are wonderful. We had a sandwich and cupcakes. You kind of feel at home there. They have a toy corner for kids too!I'd wish the toys were cleaned once in a while. They were very sticky and had crusty dirt on them. I honestly was a bit grossed out by them but on the other hand I'm grateful that they thought of kids too!“

“Stopped after a game in hopes to find a little less crowded place vs. the bars near the Kohl center, good choice! Has that dive bar vibe, loved it! The service was great and the crowd was friendly. The food looked great but we didn't eat this time. They cook everything in the open right behind the bar. Decent amount of TV's for game watching, pool table, darts, gambling machines and a couple other bar games throughout. Would definitely stop again when in town:“

“I like the place a lot. I've been there in the evening before but never for brunch. My potatoes were wildly overcooked, but the breakfast burrito was delicious. We waited a LONG time after we got our food for our server to return, but he never did until I called out to him. As if we'd disappeared. So that was weird and a little irritating.“

“A friend recommended this and we decided to try it spur of the moment - and what an excellent decision. Everyone was so kind and nice. The cocktails were delicious- a bit strong but that’s a good thing! We started with pot stickers which were surprisingly crispy and full of flavor. I had the Dan Dan Noodles which I was told were were spicy - which they were! But in a good way. By the bottom of the bowl I was craving the spice. My husband got the Braised Pork rice which was amazing as well. I really appreciate the kindness and service here. I cannot wait to return!“

“Happy to see this new location thriving! Coffee is good with variety of options available but not too many it becomes overwhelming - lots of options for tea drinkers as well! The food is amazing - highly recommend the Java Club as it was one of the best sandwiches i've had in a while - and in a market with ever increasing prices this place feels very fairly priced for what you get. Coupled with the fun atmosphere and art on the walls highly recommend checking this place out.Note that parking can be difficult - if busy times of the day parking across the street is much easier than hoping you can find a spot in the tiny parking lot“

“Nice little Asian themed tea shop with a variety of tea bases along with any combination you prefer. We got macha tea and gong fu, both were very tasty with the latter taking some skill to pour. The service here is awesome though, the waitresses will teach you the technique if you don't already know how. They also serve decent lunch, we got the beef noodle broth which was very rich and flavorful but lacking an authentic taste. We also got pork meat baos, they were more average with non-exciting flavors. The other downside are the small portion sizes.Overall great experience, would recommend for the tea and some food items since there's a paucity of Asian cuisines in Madison. Good ambience and service!“

You'll be happy guaranteed!Parking: Parking a little tight, but most everyone goes drive-thru.School bus drivers, this is our early stop.“
“There is no question that this brewery is different, like their beer. Right when you walk up you'll know that this place is weird with a unique vibe. It has more of a warehouse/industrial atmosphere. A good space and bartender was friendly. The beers were good and they have a good tap list. They had a lot of unique interpretations on styles of beer. It's not a commercial mass appeal brewery but really feels like a place run by people who really love beer. We wish we had more time to sample more of their beers.“
“This place is a true hidden gem. The outdoor space is great for kids, the cocktails are amazing and very reasonably priced. We hosted a private event here, and it was extremely reasonably priced, we had 10-15 kids that loved playing on the playground, and Doundrins staff was extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Doundrins for private events! We used to live close to Doundrins, and when we did we would put our small kids in the bike trailer and park the bikes there. The kids called it mommy and daddy's special park, because we could drink cocktails while the kids played on the playground. It's a great place to spend an afternoon, or a few hours after dinner!“

“Came here for breakfast. I was excited for crepes, but wasn't excited about the choices. I would have liked to see an asparagusy- goat cheesy option. I ended up choosing the Crepe Supreme, which should have been called a southwest crepe. The filling was quite good, but didn't work with the crepe exterior. It should have been a tortilla. My matcha was fine- I've had better, I've had worse. All in all, I think the food was good enough for a return trip.“

“My mom and I had a wonderful experience here last night before a concert! The wait was a tad long, but that could have been avoided if I made reservations. If I ever come back to Madison, I will definitely return here!“

“I don't even know where it start. This was one of the best BBQ experiences I have had this year. Everything was delicious. The service from father and son was a great experience and exciting. I got brisket to go, fatter and lean daughter didn't care for the lean. they fix the order to make her happy without a question. I will visit BB BBQ again and again. If you are ever in the area or just want to travel. This is a must stop. Everything had deep smoke flavor, tender and moist. Seasoning was on point. The one thing that was basic was the cornbread. But I was not there for the cornbread. Not called Cornbread butter BBQ LOL. Everyone go and enjoy this place and tell them I said HI!!!!!“

“Been here a handful of times and never disappointed. Had not had the clam chowder before. Maybe the best I’ve had anywhere in the country with all due respect to all the Baltimore/East coast and west coasters. Obviously always comes down to choice but really nice balance of viscosity and flavor without being so creamy all it becomes is cream soup with potatoes and chunks of clams. I almost cancelled the fish and just got more soup…lake perch was a little undercooked but I knew I should’ve said ‘well done’ cuz they were busy, but didnt. Call that my fault. Fish was solid, clean and flavorful and not greasy or over breaded. Perfect level of batter, they just got antsy.“

“I always enjoy my meal at Monty’s! Last night 1/14/23 my sister and I picked Monty’s for dinner! The food was good, the server did a great job! BUT the floor was littered with all kinds of things napkins, smushed French fry, a knife other things! On my way to the bathroom I noticed all that . I stopped at the counter and ask a person who was the boss, they said that they were the manager! All I said to them was ( take a look at your floor) Shortly after returning to my booth! I watched him come and begrudgingly pick up 2 pieces of paper and aggressively throw it in a bus tub! And he picked up the hazardous knife! This is a very bad impression! It was maybe 6:pm and not as busy as usual! If I was a manager I would have gotten a broom and dust pan and made sure I got it all, or ask a staff member to do it! Thank you for the good meals and good service! But by the cleanliness of your restaurant I will think twice before coming back! Thank you“
“We love Octopi. Great beer, food is pretty good. MOST of the staff is friendly and helpful but that brings me to the 4 stars instead of 5. The last handful of times we’ve gone, there’s a couple particular staff members that are pretty rude for no apparent reason. I assumed with the first negative experience that they just were just having a bad day, but at this point just consistently cranky. Kind of ruins the experience. We’ve started going a lot less because of it.In a nutshell, beer and food is good but there’s a good chance you could get some hostile service.“

“It was very busy on a Saturday. We ordered two coffee flights and someone took them. We got refunded for one because they didn't have cups to make the second one. My food buzzer went off and it wasn't my order. I felt like things didn't go as smoothly as it should have. Just letting people know where to pick up drinks and food would be nice. I was not aware to pick up my drink at the end.Five Stars though, the vibe is amazing, food was great, coffee was awesome, and staff was very friendly. The live music on Saturday made the experience extra special. The decor was beautiful and the fall decorations made it feel like a comfortable place. I will definitely be back!“

“Ok! This place is really cool!!! If you are looking for a fun spot with great cocktails and awesome pizza near the captiol, this is it!! The Detroit/Wisconsin deep dish was so light and airy with great savory sauce and melty, stretchy cheese is some if not the best around. “Fancy drinks and overpriced breakfast with lavish descriptions. I’m not even greeted by the barista if they’re making a drink, I just wait awkwardly, not knowing where to sit / stand to wait to place my order. There’s a difference between a barista making your drink with love and just taking their sweet time. Based on the drinks I’ve gotten recently, I’d unfortunately say it’s the 2nd one. I’ll try a different place to become a regular.“

“The first time my bf and I came here, we ordered the taco salad, a super burrito, and loaded fries. The burrito was really good. I hate it when I order a burrito from a Mexican restaurant and it's just dripping with juice. I know that's the flavor but it makes the wrapper soggy and hard to eat. But their burrito was not dripping and soggy. The meat had nice flavors, I just wish their rice had more flavor also. The loaded fries were so good. The meat ratio to fries was perfect. And the taco salad could have used a bit more meat. I went back for lunch a few days later and got their spicy shrimp platillos. The shrimp was so good and spicy. Cooked perfectly. Not dried and overcooked. But they give so little rice. I'm talking about 4-5 bites and it was gone. So I was left to eat my spicy shrimp with no rice. And as I mentioned earlier, I wish their rice had more flavor. But it was doable.“

“I ordered the Mahi Fish Tacos. Each order includes three tacos featuring citrus-marinated Mahi Mahi, chipotle aioli, salsa verde, and crisp nappa cabbage, all nestled in soft corn tortillas and served with a side of fries. The tacos were simply divine, bursting with freshness and flavor. The Mahi Mahi was exceptionally fresh and delicious. While The Boathouse was charming on the day of my visit, it undoubtedly shines even brighter in the summer, with its picturesque views of the lake.“
