“Visited for breakfast and had the Denver Scramlet and a Gingerbread Latte... YUM! The food was fantastic, good price for the amount of food you get, super friendly owner/staff, large and clean dining area, clean parking lot, overall a great experience. Will be finding plenty more excuses to stop in and try the rest of the menu!“

“We always have a good meal here with good service. The prices are reasonable and truthfully it's the first Mexican restaurant where I have been encouraged to try something different. So far I've been very pleased with everything I've tried. Very nice restaurant.“

“This is one of the best restaurants in Elkhart Lake, no lie. Elkhart Lake, in general, is a sleeper town for great food. That's what I discovered when I visited last fall. There are so many amazing, unassuming restaurants serving great food. Amasa is one of them. You wouldn't think Elkhart Lake would be a good place to get Mexican food ... but you'd be wrong. The head chefs at Amasa are from Mexico City, and they are serving the food from their hometown. I ate a birria taco that was probably one of the best I've had anywhere. And I don't throw around the words "best" and "tacos" lightly. You see, I'm Mexican, as well, so my standards for Mexican food are very high. This Mexican food at Amasa is legit. I also had a chile con carne appetizer that came with tortilla chips (amazing!), a spicy salad with apples and pepinos (refreshing!), and meatballs (so tender!). Of course, I could have just eaten birria tacos all day. You should know: There is a brick-and-mortar restaurant, but Amasa also has a food truck parked in the back of the restaurant that sells an abbreviated version of their Mexican menu. You'll find tacos, flautas, brunch plates and desserts. There's also a cute little outdoor patio area where you can hang out and eat.“
