It was me and a group of 6 teenage girls and we were hungry,it was getting late, had no idea where to eat, and they were so accommodating on getting tables together, helping us out with menu items, and just being awesome. “The food is always so great here. We try to get there for breakfast as often as we can. The service is great! Jen is so good, she comes by and chats with us and makes sure we always have coffee. The waitresses are very nice and polite. The prices are very reasonable. Everyone should try this restaurant if they can. Great Job Jen and company!”

“We travel all over the United States and feel that the tacos at Pat’s Tavern in Rhinelander are the best we’ve ever had. We are from Florida and will go out of our way to stop there on Taco Wednesday if we are anywhere close to Rhinelander. Great atmosphere, friendly people, and tacos are so worth the drive. It’s definitely a 5.0! Yum!”

“went there today for the first time. the coffee i got was one of the best I've had and I've been everywhere in this country. they even made a little leaf design which was a nice little surprise. i got the chef burger, or whatever it was called, and as soon as i bit into it i didn't feel like i was in the northwoods. the burger had unique flavors but they complimented each other perfectly! this place has to be one of the best hidden gems this area has to offer. i will definitely be going there on a more regular basis. 10/10”

“It is a small town, up north bar. The staff was very friendly, the beer was cold, and the food was hot, had large portions, and reasonable. One had the roasted chicken, one had the sea food platter, one had the shrimp, and I had a burger. I would definitely go back.”

“Jailhouse has been my number one go-to since 2004 when I'm in Rhinelander! Randy, the owner, is such a great guy and puts his heart and soul into making this a place where people can have a fun time and make memories. He takes pride in providing tasty food and affordable drinks that he doesn't hold back on. His staff, like Kris and Nicholas, make you feel like you're old friends. My wife, a true culinarian, had to see the kitchen and was impressed that it was the one of the absolute cleanest she has ever seen! The pizzas and tacos are fantastic, and the curds with apple jam are a treat! This has been The Place for my buddies and me all these years, and now it's a family favorite with even my youngest wanting to go when we arrive in town. I appreciate having Jailhouse available to us to fill our stomachs and our souls with wonderful memories of playing pool, watching the snowmobiles and boats go by, and laughing as we just hang out.”

“There's nothing like Tesomas dining hall. Crazy kids' music is bumping, but the food wasn't that hot ( as in sexy).

“Hats off to the manager on 10-5-24!Visited the restaurant for the first time last night, on a very busy Saturday evening. Was seated promptly and our order was taken soon after. There were some mix ups with our food order, but the manager came to our table, was very apologetic, and did everything he could to make things right!”

“Just went in for supper tonight. Waited about an hour to get our food after ordered. When they finally brought irder it was mixed up with another tabes order. Finally got all of ours. No one ever came back to our table to see how things were. Had to go find someone to get more salsa. Went to bar to turn in coupon and ask for our bill. Finally got the bill and took it back to table. Waiter said hed be right there to get it. Then saw him go outside and smoke a cigarette instead of coming and taking care of the bill. We took it to the bar and pd. Very poor service. The table beside us (which had our food and theirs mixed) was also having issues. One of their party waited a half hour to get his burger after the rest of that table had their food. Extremely poor service All around. It wasnt even that busy / only 4 booths with 2 people in each. Food was good but awful service. Unbelievable that the waiter would go right out the front door where we could see him and smoke rather thsn finish up with us. The other table of people said the same thing!”

Having never been here before in we all went. The food was prepared well and tasted good. Service was good, honestly could have been a little more attentive but not bad at all. Drink order from the bar could have been faster (read several reviews complaining about this). Not sure what the delay was since it wasn’t too busy.

Overall, nice place with good food. Prices are a bit high but then again the margins for restaurants aren’t very high and they have to make a profit to stay in business.

For everyone complaining about the cost…unfortunately everything is more expensive and yes you can make it cheaper at home but that’s just the way it is.”
