While so many people talk about how good the brisket sandwich is (it is great), I would just like to say the Italian sausage sandwich is very good also! Yummy 😋

Pine Knot Tavern is such a sunny, friendly spot! We enjoyed delicious drinks made by Sully the bartender—an Old Fashioned, martini, bourbon stout, and more. The cheese curds were delicious, and the roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon, blue cheese and balsamic glaze were extra delicious!

Pine Knot Tavern is a casual rustic place with a big beautiful bar in the main room, offering indoor and outdoor seating. The food is fantastic, a large step-up from what is expected for a tavern-style restaurant. The wild burger was juicy and flavorful, the brisket sandwich is great, and the Italian sausage sandwich is very good. Delicious clam chowder and chili, with well seasoned, tasty appetizers that are generously portioned. The pan seared walleye with vegetables and au gratin potatoes is a sigh-worthy dish. Service is wonderful, friendly, and welcoming, with a spotless place. A welcomed gem and hidden treasure in the northwoods, highly recommended.
