“I'd been here once before with a friend/mentor for a personal tea service (and lunch) and wanted to bring my mother-in-law. Of course, I happened to choose the day of their special Christmas sampling (announced only by email)! They had at least 15 different teas to try with different treats to cleanse the pallette in between. A FABULOUS selection of teas to choose from, and the quaint setting is the perfect match for an afternoon tea.“

“First time there & it was excellent! We came early, started with drinks & apps at the bar. Enjoyed the Shanky's Whip Old Fashioned, Flowering Onion, & Hand Dipped Basket... w/ onion rings, cheese curds, mushrooms, & cauliflower. Then had the Black & Bleu Coulotte Steak & Chicken & Goat Cheese for our main course. Everything was soooo good! And the service was wonderful, always had just what we needed! Thx ?“

It changed hands a while ago, but I moved on to the area.Stopped in there today to have breakfast with an old-time friend.I was greeted by the regulars sitting at the counter, It was adorable.They told me the menu and the specials and whom my waitress was.It was truly a special moment.It was quaint and quiet the service was good.I would highly recommend seeking out this quain little restaurant right on one of the main streets of wausau.“

“On a road trip, we put in an online to-go order from Becca's Cafe in Wausau, and I was pretty impressed. The menu reads like they're reaching a bit higher than a typical sandwich shop, yet the prices were totally reasonable. $40 before tip for a wrap with sweet potato fries, a panini with chips, a kids PBJ with snack pack fruit cup, a chocolate milk, an 8oz cup of soup, and a side of potato salad. It's a place I'll happily hit up again out that a ways The hot Peppercorn Steak Wrap was excellent. Would be hard pressed not to order it again instead of trying something different. The Sweet Potato Fries though managed to be burned AND soggy and limp "Herb-garlic tortilla, shredded steak, tomato, red onion, cilantro, spinach, provolone, parm-peppercorn dressing" Sonoma Chicken Panini "Grilled chicken breast, provolone, basil, mushroom, red onion, sun-dried tomato pesto, balsamic glaze" Their Loaded Potato Salad is intense. Five or six bites will do you. "Diced roasted red potatoes mixed with bacon bits, cheddar cheese, chives, sour cream" Chicken & Wild Rice Soup was the opposite. Rich and creamy, but a bit babyfood-ish: not much texture to the veg and scant chicken, and lacking in wild rice“

“Been here several times. Usually it’s fine which is why I rated 4 stars. Sometimes it’s rough in there. Tonight we were seated at a bar booth. We spend most the time being ignored by staff. While other patrons stood literally directly in front of our table with their backs to us, weird. Who does that. I had to pee for about 15 minutes before I finally tapped a lady on her shoulder and told her I needed to get up from my dining table. Never really figured out who our server was. hostess took out order then had a couple other people clear plates and bring a bill. Food was so so.“

All of the communication was with Alex, the general manager, who provided us with a lot of options and was respectful of our budget. Our guests were all commenting on how delicious the food was! “Never a bad experience here! Always clean, friendly staff, clean restrooms. We have had the same server a few times now; Rachall, and she has been absolutely fabulous! Despite a very busy Saturday evening in the dining room our service was great, food was fantastic, and she made it extremely memorable for our 11 year olds birthday!
