Whats starting to gripe me is the expectation of a tip for ringing up a loaf of bread, or a bag or two of coffee?
Please, yes we tip when we order sit down, but think about it we don't get seated, we have to give them a number, we must go fill our own coffee, and bus the table when we're finished?

Today I came in to have my daughter fill out an application for our favorite neighborhood coffee/food/ and good service shop. After filling out the application we had the wonderful opportunity to speak with Estephanie today.

CBC knows what they’re doing when they hire. Estephanie is the perfect person for management. During the conversation she was transparent about the position, the expectations, the moral, the goal, and the obstacles that may come. The conversation alone is one that I believe most kids coming into the workforce with no experience needs to hear. My daughter walked out of the business with a better understanding of what to expect from any job and how she needs hard work, understanding, good communication, and confidence to succeed .

“We used the Greige Patisserie for our November 2023 wedding in Oconomowoc, WI. They did our personal cutting cake and dessert bar. We mainly communicated with Miranda, who was very responsive, professional and helpful. The dessert tasting appointment was really fun to try out some of the more popular treats. They delivered and set-up all the desserts on wedding day and it looked perfect. The cake was absolutely beautiful and exactly like the inspo pictures we shared. The dessert bar was a hit and we had multiple guests talking about how good all the treats were all weekend. We had s’mores shooters, strawberry shortcake shooters, lemon bars, salted caramel tarts, snickerdoodle cookies and macarons. We would definitely recommend the Greige Patisserie to future couples. “I grew up in this neighborhood, so while I might not be of Mexican descent, I grew up with access to pan dulce. Unlike some other panaderias in the area, this place was jammed full of variety right away when they were open. You could feel the warmth coming off some of the racks, things were that fresh. I don't know if it's a flavor that isn't as popular as it was thirty years ago when I was a teen, but they didn't have pumpkin/calabaza empanada, which is my favorite. I can only reliably get those at El Rey, but they don't open as early. I got a coconut empanada instead, which I hadn't tried before, and it's now my second favorite, still behind pumpkin. It's so good.

If you were looking for a place where you can get a big variety of pan dulce, right away in the morning, this is the place. I highly recommend it. The price was really good, too.“

“I’ve been to Jen’s many times now! I’ve recently ordered 24 cupcakes (12 vanilla 12 chocolate/ filled) & a 6” red velvet cake for my son’s 21st Birthday. I didn’t know quite what I wanted walking in, but they were very patient and helped me through it! I previously ordered toppers so needed something a little plain. They exceeded my expectations! We didn’t even make it to the cake til the next day bc the cupcakes were SO YUMMY. The cake was cut more then 24hrs after pick up (pictured) and you can see how moist it still looks 😋😋“

“Bread its good. But go early morning otherwise you wont have much options. Prices are high but no where near other bakeries. Mini conchas are 50 cents but 2yrs ago they were 3 for 1 dollar. Floors look dirty but bread is always fresh. They sell bolillos 3 for 1 dollar. They have milk gallons, single slices of cake, can sodas, hot coffee. You can order cakes. They take cash and card. But for card it has to be atleat $5. No restrooms. Parking for around 10cars. They dont accept EBT anymore . Prices are ok and u get ur own little platic bag and plastic glove and choose ur own piece of bread.“

The cake only had a copy of the invite icon on the front and was very pretty but it was not what I was expecting. “i went here a long time ago about 2013. i was a regular because my grandma's house is nearby. she liked the pumpkin empenadas when they had any left. from the morning rush. i usually got the chocolate muffins with chips. they also had soft bread. as long as you ate it rightaway.

“We tried Mochiring recently and although there was a wait for drinks and hot dogs, I expected it with all of the buzz about this place. The drinks were amazing, the hotdogs are a MUST, especially the number 10. The doughnuts were super fresh and flavorful, I wish they had more flavors to try but I’m sure that will come with time. it’s still very early in their opening process so I understand them working things out. I’m more than happy to wait for food there, it is absolutely worth it. We have been craving it since our first visit!“
