Base Camp is our favorite breakfast place in all Door County. Coffee is perfect and we've never had a bad item here. This morning I ordered a breakfast burrito and was surprised with the yummiest breakfast burrito. The lavender latte is fantastic using local lavender from Washington Island. Wear a mask, but go to Base Camp to start your day off right.
One of the most delicious breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had — the breakfast croissant. Tasted fresh, was made from scratch. Not sure if they buy or make their own croissants but it was flaky and soft. Latte also really good, not burnt tasting like at some chain coffee places. Also location is quite fun and unique, below an old church or one room schoolhouse. Were it not for covid we’d love to have stayed a bit.
Base camp is my favorite coffee shop in Door County! Not only do they make a mean cup of Joe, but everything that comes out of their kitchen is delicious. We tried all of their pastries and quiches and like each and everyone of them.
