“Came upon this little gem when looking for a place to have some drinks before a show and so glad we did! This place is so cute, it’s small but it’s very nice inside and has that nice feel of comfort. When we got there it was slow but it quickly got busy and the bartender, Christina, was the only one there besides the cooks and she ROCKED it. She remained collective and calm during the rush that came out of nowhere. The food is also amazing, while we only had a couple of apps, the burgers looked insanely delicious and we are definitely going back to try them.“

“Was in Milwaukee for the weekend with some friends and i Went to "Hosed on brady" on a friday night at like 1:00 a.m and was the only one in there besides the 2 employees.. they were nice enough and the service was good. It was nice cause around the corner is like a bunch of crowded bars that i walked by on the way back to the air BnB, and the people that i experienced were exactly what i was trying to avoid by going into an empty bar.. drunk people kind of suck ya know?
Kid-friendliness: Its a bar lol“

“I didn’t eat anything here. Actually just popped in to meet up with colleagues before a Bucks game. Grabbed a Dunkel and got to know new business associates. Loved this little place. The Nail Game was going on in the back dining area. The bar has personal steins for the regulars.“

“The Stone might be the friendliest bar in Milwaukee. Before I settled my butt into a seat at the bar, someone welcomed me with a hello and a welcome. Soon, more of the customers ambled up to me to talk about a myriad of subjects. This was an eclectic crowd, and obviously, all were welcome. These days, I'm invariably the oldest cat in the joint, but no one at the Stone seemed to notice. Neither did my dark glasses or fedora cause people at The Stone to keep their distance. That was very cool because how I dress is often construed as pretentious in the down-to-earth confines of Milwaukee. However, the regulars at The Stone let my personality and discourse speak rather than my appearance. That meant a lot to me. I left The Stone knowing I always had a welcoming tavern to go to. What a wonderful feeling. The Stone is a special place. BTW, the drinks were fine, and the prices were good.“

“Hands down one of the best establishments in the greater Milwaukee area! The food is amazing and CHEAP, as are the drinks. The bartender is a woman of the highest class, and the patrons open and friendly. It's like a blast from the past, few places of this caliber exist anywhere in the United States. It's up to us to give it the business to keep it here!“

“Had some time on my hands and was driving by and noticed that the bar was open and decided to stop in for a quick beer and to use the facilities . Swift Kick is a fairly small and simple corner establishment with a one of those neat horse shoe shaped bars with the back bar in the center , you can see pretty much everyone that is there and I thought that was nice . The woman behind the bar was very nice and was eager to ask how she could be of service . The afternoon that I stopped seemed to have an older clientele and they were all friendly . It's clean and I would certainly stop in again if in the area . Parking is all on the street . If ya like quaint little spots , stop by and check out theSwift Kick Pub .“

“Was never to Oscars before. I didn't expect that I'd be eating the greatest burger I've had in my Life. Meat was thick and juicy. Bun was clean and soft. Onion rings were hot with a firm dense crust. My friend and I were almost in disbelief. Staff was incredibly polite. Clientele, (place was packed), were well-mannered. I'll definitely be back. 10/10“

“Great prices, perfect bar menu, great staff, but what really makes this bar great is the owner's passion for the legacy and history of the bar. The items on display are one of a kind, and knowledge the bar owners have about this establishment and the items on display is rare these days. Their love for this bar spills over into the "personality" of this place. Stop in, get a drink, a bite to eat, look around, ask questions...you'll leave with a truly memorable experience!“

“Exciting First Fish Fry Experience of Lent 2025!
Today, I finally had the chance to step into Jerseys Pub and Grill for my first official Fish Fry Lunch of Lent 2025! It's located at 4024 S Howell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207, and let me tell you – I’ve passed by this place countless times, but today, I finally got to experience it! What a hidden gem it turned out to be!
It all started when I met the owner, who just so happens to have a son at the same elementary school as my own. That’s when I discovered their Friday Fish Fry – a perfect addition to my Fish Fry Bucket List.
Now, let's dive into the mouthwatering menu options they offer on Fridays:
* Cod Fish Fry: Freshly cut lemon wedge, slaw, rye bread, and your choice of fries, potato wedges, or tater tots, all for $13.
* Fish Sandwich: Served with your choice of potato for $10.
* Shrimp Tacos: A flavorful delight for $9.50.
* Fish Tacos: Tasty and satisfying for $9.50.
* Shrimp Basket: Perfect for seafood lovers at $11.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the owner’s warm and friendly demeanor – she made me feel right at home. Her impeccable service really set the tone for the whole experience.
As for the food – WOW! I was served three generously-sized pieces of cod, perfectly battered with just the right amount of crispiness, yet not oily at all (huge win!). I went with the potato wedges, and they were on point – golden brown, crispy on the outside, and warm & fluffy on the inside. The slaw wasn’t the creamy type I usually prefer, but it had a delightful, crisp flavor that paired perfectly with everything else.
All in all, this was a fantastic Fish Fry Lunch that I’d definitely recommend if you’re in the area and craving something new! Another Milwaukee gem to add to your list.“

“It was a crisp night in Milwaukee as I strolled out of Jack’s. The question of the wise man next door lingered in my head with each step I took. I found my way into Jo-cats I was relieved to find out the questions of the man next door left me for a second. A glimpse of clear thought. It was …. “

“Stop #6 of My 2025 Lenten Lunch Fish Fry Tour: Joe’s K Ranch – A Must-Visit Fish Fry Gem!** Located at 4840 S Whitnall Ave, Cudahy, WI 53110 If you're on the hunt for the ultimate Friday Fish Fry experience, Joe’s K Ranch in Cudahy is calling your name—and trust me, you *want* to answer. This spot has quickly soared to the top of my list in 2025, delivering a meal that hits every note: flavor, freshness, and friendly hometown vibes. **Here’s a peek at their fish fry lineup:** - 🥣 **House-made Clam Chowder** – Creamy, hearty, and packed with flavor. $4.58 (cup), $6.58 (bowl), $14.58 (quart) - 🐟 **2-Piece Beer-Battered Cod** – $14.58 (add an extra piece for $4.58) - 🔥 **3-Piece Broiled Cod** – $16.58 - 🐠 **8 oz Walleye** – Battered or pan-fried to golden perfection – $16.58 - 🎩 **Cod Oscar** – A fancier twist on the classic – $18.58 - 🍤 **Grilled Cajun Shrimp** – Zesty, juicy, and a little bit bold – $20.58 Every entrée comes with all the fixings: a warm bread basket, creamy coleslaw, and your choice of fries, baked potato, or—my personal favorite—crispy, golden potato pancakes served with applesauce. Want to elevate your plate? Add sautéed green beans or asparagus for just $2.58. I went with the classic: the 2-piece beer-battered cod. And wow—this is *how* fish fry should be done. Crispy edges, soft centers, and just the right balance of savory and sweet with the applesauce. The coleslaw was fresh and flavorful, and the fries were piping hot with a satisfying crunch. The clam chowder deserves a shoutout of its own—rich, creamy, and loaded with tender clams. A must-order. And the service? Outstanding. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. If you are in the area, it is worth dropping in. They also have TouchTunes if you are familiar with the app, so you can pick the music that is played while you are there. “This place is fantastic! We came here with a larger group for Sunday brunch. The commutation when it came to setting up the reservation was great. We were welcomed in and were able to immediately start ordering drinks. The bartenders were awesome the whole time we were there (we stayed there for about 4 hours). You go up to a window to order food and are given a pager. This worked out great because everyone could eat whatever they wanted to. The food was delicious!!! All of it!! They also had vending machines with fun stuff in them and pull tabs so that kept everyone busy for a while. I’d definitely return and can’t wait to try more off the menu! Thank you for everything, Justin!“
