I score this place a 5 overall because the ownership seems to genuinely care about the customers and will go beyond the normal to ensure customers are as taken care of as possible. The Checkerboard offers some bar fried classics, burgers, pizza and more. They know how to have a good time here, the drinks and beer flow right along with the cheer. They have some burgers and pizzas I think, but really it's all about the drink. Bartenders are nice enough to call your friend, a couple of pool tables and some darts keep yah busy through the days end. Horseshoes and pool and dart leagues are never in the way, but the owner will be happy to sponsor your team if you are looking for leagues to play.

Good bands, great staff, ample parking day or night, people shouting howdy neighbors!
