“Stumbled onto this place on a Friday night just looking to stop and have a drink and a bite of food with a friend. The place is clean and cute inside and out and the staff were very friendly as well as the patrons. We ate at the bar but there are regular dining tables if you don’t like high barstools (which I don’t). The broasted chicken and potatoes are outstanding! Everything that came out of the kitchen looked and smelled absolutely delicious. Very cool neighborhood bar & grill. Will definitely be back.“

In the Lakes region—where Italian options can feel uneven—this spot rises confidently to the top. On my most recent visit, I was seated immediately at a corner table, a small but meaningful luxury in an age of hour-long waits. The dining room, typically hushed enough for actual conversation, again delivered one of its underrated pleasures: a peaceful meal without the intrusive din that plagues so many suburban restaurants. Service followed suit—friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help, never hovering or rushing. The kitchen remains the star. My spaghetti with vodka sauce was outstanding—rich, balanced, and among the best renditions I’ve had anywhere in the region. Other entrées at the table echoed the same strengths: sauces with clarity and depth, pastas cooked with confident restraint, portions generous without tipping into excess. Cocktails, too, arrived promptly and properly mixed, further reinforcing the sense of a kitchen-and-bar team that takes pride in their craft. If there is a shortfall, it lies in the ambiance. The room carries a certain charm, but the décor feels a step behind the quality of the food. A refresh of tables, finishes, and overall presentation would elevate the experience from very good to genuinely special. The warmth is there—the aesthetics simply haven’t caught up yet. Even so, the value proposition is undeniable. For reliably excellent Italian cuisine, low noise, easy seating, earnest service, and honest pricing, this restaurant more than earns its “highly recommended” status. “This is a solid pizza joint. I’ve ordered delivery 4-5 times. Good ingredients, speedy delivery and consistent results. Plus the delivery guy is a nice guy and seems genuinely proud of the pizza. I compare it to to Rosatis, but I like this better, and that’s with zero shade. In conclusion… if Jimanos is in your neighborhood hood, you should give it a chance. Ps the BLT Pizza was awesome. I feel like I invented it in 2002… But immediately thought it was better than the one I made. Only complaint… Too much bacon. But then I say that out loud and it sounds stupid. “I almost always get the vegetarian with sausage. It's GREAT!! The ratio of vegetables to sausage is perfect. I found Jimano's after the last place I used to regular changed their sausage supplier. Doing so ruined the whole pizza. Now I'm staying with Jimano's, (until they mess with perfection).“

“Was in the area visiting from Chicago and my vegan friend suggested we go there for lunch. It was a Saturday so we ordered the thin crust pizzas special. He had a vegan cheese and vegan sausage pizza and I had a moo moo cheese and vegan sausage one because I'm not the biggest vegan cheese fan. Results...

My pizza was delish! I tried a slice of his and also delish-which surprised me! Tasty thin crusts. Great tomato sauce. Yummy sausage with classic flavor profile and texture. Quality cheeses. I even had another slice of his.

They served us a bowl of classic peanuts in the shell to keep us busy before our order arrived. That was fun.

Our waitress was awesome too. Took good care of us.

Appreciated the 80's and 90's tunes in the background.

Chill and cute atmosphere. There's a bar too for folks looking for adult beverages.

Next time I want to try one of their lemony desserts that a customer was ordering to go.

“Last weekend was our first time at this fun-loving bar on the water. We went to hear the band Crooked Fences because we have a friend in the band. They serve up bar food - burgers, cheese curds, etc. - and, of course, drinks in a fun atmosphere on the water. There are garage door that open to the dock, so it gives a outdoor vibe. They also have a ferry to Blarney Island that leaves from the bar for $15 round trip. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. A good place for a casual afternoon or evening by the water.“
