I feel good about choosing a place that has quality, fresh ingredients, and it tastes SO GOOD.

The portions are generous, and they are always friendly and prompt.

“We wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks to the One and Only for hosting an incredible elopement dinner for our family! Robin was fantastic in helping us plan details and menu selections ahead of time, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests. We enjoyed the Deviled Eggs, Roasted Red Pepper Dish, and were delighted by the complimentary Roasted Green Bean Salad from the Chef. All three dishes were absolutely delicious!

For our main courses, we had the Stacked Burger, Scallops, Steak, and Hand Breaded Chicken Tenders. Each dish was beautifully plated and generously portioned. Our server and other staff were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

We had little ones in our party, and they were very accommodating by providing highchairs, a children’s menu, and kid-friendly cups. Additionally, we had a guest in a wheelchair, and the space was accessible for them, which was great.

“You know the food is going to be delicious, when you hear the pressure cooker releasing steam in the kitchen. And the items we ordered did not disappoint.

We ordered Ngoethuk, Mothuk, Tingmo, and the famed butter tea. Ngoethuk (chow mein) comes with a side of delicious broth. The hearty Mothuk (dumplings in a soup) warms the soul. The spice levels are adjustable for all items.

Although savory, we saved the butter tea and the Tingmo (rolled steamed bread) for “dessert”.

The servers are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy, yet welcoming. It feels like I am at my friend’s house and their parents are feeding us.

We have been there twice now and always look forward to going back to try out their other menu items.“

“My wife and I traveled to Madison this week and were looking for a good pizza to have delivered to our hotel. As someone who travels a lot and is a HUGE pizza person. I can honestly say this pizza was great, which is really tough to say for a pizza that’s been delivered. A healthy amount of cheese, tasty sauce, well cooked pizza with great crust. “Wow - what a pleasant dining option at the Memorial Union! It offers both made to order sandwiches and salads as well as grab and go items. I was totally impressed with the quinoa black salad I ordered for lunch - excellent mix of textures and the flavors of the components complimented each other. There are no tables at Carte to dine-in, but its not difficult to find a table elsewhere in the Union (Strada, the Rathskeller, the Terrace).“

Service - Great, friendly, and quick.

“I’ve had a lot of inconsistent experiences at Panera, and I want to share both the highs and lows. I always order the same thing—mac and cheese—because it’s my favorite. Unfortunately, the quality isn’t always consistent. Sometimes, the texture is pasty, and the noodles are mushy, which can be disappointing, especially when I’ve driven 35 minutes from New Glarus to satisfy a craving.

HOWEVER, there’s one standout individual who has completely changed my experience: Kaden. He always remembers me, no matter how long it’s been between visits. He takes the time to ensure my food is prepared the right way, and I truly appreciate his dedication.

“I’ve taken my 1 and 3 year olds here twice now, as a solo parent outing, and both times the staff have gone above and beyond to help make everything easier for me while I manage getting my kids situated. The first time they brought my food out to my table after they saw my hands were totally full and this time the manager brought two cookies out to my kids. “Excellent customer service experience with them today; they corrected a mistake that WASN'T EVEN THEIR FAULT!!!

DoorDash delivery driver picked up my order, then STOPPED - a few blocks away, for >20 min (I'm 12 min from the Panera....).

Seeing the delay in my delivery time I called the driver, who was rude and admitted he was stopped because he was "waiting to pick up a friend from work". When I responded to ask if he legit stopped, after picking up my food, he yelled back at me "what do you f'ing want to do about it?!"

At that point, the order was on track to be in the driver's car >40 min, so the hot food would be cold and nasty, AND, I was worried he would tamper or mess with our food out of spite.

I called the Panera directly and talked with Paul (or Paulo?), who was the manager, and he apologized for the botched delivery, cancelled the order, and immediately had a new one made up and sent out (with a new driver). He called DoorDash on my behalf and gave me their number to file a report for this driver.

Replacement order was fast & fresh.

AND - the DoorDash rep confirmed that drivers are NOT supposed to stop after picking up food deliveries to run errands, etc. LOL

Give this place a try, and don't be afraid to advocate for yourself if you have a mistake in your order (vs. just ranting in a review). They genuinely wanted to make things right, and they did.“
