“Jo Jo's is nice place, but Gorm's bar seem to get most of the business in town. Jo Jo's has very good munchies and the female bartenders are very good at their job and fun to be around.”

I'd like to see a wait staff on the floor.The building is cool with late 18th, early 19th century charm.Street parking appears to be the way. However, we parked in a lot across the street.I would definitely return.”

“This is a vintage building that has a good feel about it, and a casual atmosphere great for baby boomers who don’t want noisy spaces. The wood fired pizza is top of the line delicious, and they have a good wine list and don’t keep the red wine in the fridge. I bring my friend here often because she loves to drink wine, and we always enjoy the time we spend here.”

“My boyfriend and I enjoy stopping in to Whiskey Rapids for drinks and visiting with friends. We always feel welcomed and appreciated. Plus, they have fun events like bingo, packer parties, October fest and more. We enjoy sitting out on the patio in the summer listening to music. It’s a great gathering place with a nice comfortable atmosphere. We actually attended a private party last night in their upstairs. Wow! Very nice space. “I work remotely, and although I have a fantastic home office, I work from libraries or coffee shops about once a week becaues there are just too many distractions at home. From The Ground Up is in my regular rotation of away-from-home work spaces. Some of the older reviews mention that there's no WiFi and they don't take card payments, but that is no longer the case, so don't let that deter you. It's a friendly atmosphere and the baristas are incredibly welcoming, even if you just buy one drink and sit in a booth or at a table for several hours. (Guilty.) I haven't tried the food, but it looks and smells great. My go-to drink is a mocha, and I've never had a bad mocha here in the 2+ years I've been coming in. This is a nice little coffee shop, and I'm glad we have a place like this in downtown Wisconsin Rapids.”

“My favorite bar in town. Drinks and banter are great. Open mic night on Wednesday nights during fall/winter is a must!! The owner Austin, is the best mix of sarcastic , honest, and funny, yet still humble. A must stop! The staff are awesome as well. if there is a need for a space to rent, it's free as of now. He has held many benefits, baby showers, and more there. Stop in!”

“Good food good place the bar tender Tyler Is cool he's a pay before you leave not pay right away guy for like food and drinks yes the chicken. Strips are 8$ for 5 of them there huge but it's worth it there good chicken strips me and my grandpa go here for the video archery every Friday night I love this place but you have to pay for the video archery straight away but CHICKEN STRIPS ARE AMAZING. “What a lovely little bakery. Came for dinner rolls, and grabbed a couple of danishes, petit fors, and sugar cookies. They were all delicious. I was delighted by the charming owner. She was very friendly, greeting everyone who came in and using the names of the regulars which were quite a few. A number of items were selling out quickly.The shop was also full of quality kitchen gift items, like aprons, towels, baking and cooking accessories, stoneware, Lodge cast iron pots and pans. Teas, and fudges. There were even the most amazing handcrafted purses and clutches from the Philippines made from cocoa leaves. Beautiful.I will be looking forward to coming back after their winter hiatus, because wonderful baked goods are a delightful gift for anyone. Highly recommend.Parking: It's not a huge lot, but it's just fine. There is on the street parking.”

“Stayed at the hotel for a basketball tourney and a few of us parents went down to the bar for a few. Jeff the bartender kept us entertained with great conversation and service. Told us some good stories about the bar being haunted and was quick with a joke. Will be back there again next year.”

“First time here. I wish I could give it 10 stars! Four of us were dining on a Sunday. We had breakfast skillets and biscuits and gravy. The breakfast skillets were made with all super fresh ingredients. Eggs were perfect. The gravy for the biscuits was the best I have had. Clearly it was not from a can. The food was so good that we actually ordered 3 additional meals to go. We are traveling from Northeastern Wisconsin but will definitely stop here whenever we are out this way!”

“Just moved into the area and I'm still exploring the area. My brothers came into town to visit and we found the restaurant and this is now going to be our place when they come up to visit. The atmosphere is great, the food was really good and there was a decent variety to choose from, big drink selection, and the prices are reasonable compared to many other similar restaurants. “Ordered (10 or 12 piece) chicken family meal. Chicken was undercooked. Given a single portion via family portion of Mac and chz. Biscuits were dried out. Potato wedges were amazing however again was not family portion.Waited infront of counter waiting/trying to order while two workers walked back and forth laughing seeming lost. They saw us standing and waiting. Both seemed very displaced and confused. Gal that took order and packaged our food didn't have hair pulled back or in a net. Hair was literally hanging down all around infront and around face, past shoulders. Didn't change gloves from one station to another. Inside of gloves just drenched with sweat, sliding off.She was very friendly though and provided service with a smile! So that was very nice. Gave her benefit of doubt cz cld have been in training.”

“The food I get is usually well made and pretty good. This place has been here for a while, and it hasn't really degraded in quality. Sometimes, the workers seem to be having a bad day, but that's anywhere.”

“Nice quick tasty inexpensive lunch. I was seated immediately and the server was attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. I didn't have the lunch buffet but it had a nice selection for a good price. I was more in the mood for a vegetarian option and chose the Braised Tofu with mixed vegetables in the house brown sauce combination lunch, which was very good. The tofu was just the right texture and combined with the sauce and vegetables were well. I had fried rice with my meal, which was fine, if a little cool and lacking in the expected egg, veg tidbits which was a bit off. Two Crab Rangoon came with as well. I had a nice hot tea.I usually have gotten family meals delivered which have been great but haven't eaten in for lunch in quite a while.I will come back.Vegetarian options: The selection was somewhat limited, but I did have choices and suspect that I could have asked for other menu items to be prepared without meat or substituting tofu.Parking: There are many on street parking spots nearby, as well as some parking in the rear lot.”

“The only subway to go to in rapids! Always friendly. And have never gotten a messed up order. All the other subways there are people yelling behind the window! Crazy and actually frightening!! Love this location and stop very often!”
