Beautiful place to come for a spiritual retreat even if it is only a few hours. Ice cream is great. Clean bathrooms. I like walking by the covered bridge and wish the chapel was open. Good to see Don. We were friends with Edna and him.I spent many happy hours writing poetry there.
There is an ice cream store there a coffee shop with a multitude of different coffees . Also serve a variety of sandwiches. There's also a store with a little bit of everything which is the original Mill building. You can walk behind the buildings where there is a covered bridge and small Chapel and Crystal Clear River.
A must visit when in Waupaca!

The Red Mill is a charming coffee and ice cream hangout with plenty of off-street free parking. It is a kid-friendly spot featuring a walking trail by the river, perfect for family outings and enjoying the natural beauty outdoors. The staff is friendly and prepares delicious treats like affogato, cappuccino, and breakfast sandwiches, including the Italian sandwich and the Monte Crisco. The ice cream shop offers a lot to choose from, though bubble gum flavor is no longer available. Seasonal drinks and snacks are a must-try, and the outside area is breathtaking, allowing kids to tube or play in the water. The original wood flooring adds to the cute shop's appeal, making it a wonderful location for professional photos. The gift shop features adorable knick-knacks, and the history of the location adds to its charm. Customer service is excellent, as the staff brings food to guests whether they are inside or outside. It is truly a family favorite year-round, with beautiful views and a lovely spot for a post-meal walk on the bridge.
