“The food is better than typical bar fare. You might have to be patient when it's really busy, but the staff is great at making eye contact and acknowledging that they see you are waiting. I love their shuttles for Brewers games. Great deals on PBR, but top shelf drinks and some menu items are a bit overpriced. I got a basic grilled chicken salad, which was small for an entree, and it was more than $17. Food costs are up everywhere, though, so I can't really hold that against them. It was delicious. The patio in the summer is awesome. They live music and a walk-up bar where you can order drinks without going back inside. I recommend it for a fun casual lunch or dinner.Parking: On game days, parking fills up quickly, but there's street parking and a vacant lot next door where people can park.“

“The wings, the drinks, the DJ, the staff and the weekly specials is what brings me to a new spot and keeps me coming back. This place has all of that and more. We are always greeted right away even though I see some regulars. We don’t get treated any different, the food is always hot so when I wait I know it’s because the chef is cooking it the right way.they have weekly specials like margarita Mondays, wing Wednesdays, tenderoni (chicken tenders)Thursdays, fish fry Fridays, and Saturday and Sundays are specials on micheladas and mimosas.“

“Atmosphere is very unique. Staff is friendly and helpful. Visited for dinner. Ordered the coconut shrimp. Was very good with sauce provided. Also ordered the French fries. Loved how they made it with the sauce. Very crispy till the end. Had the Banh Mi. Unfortunately this was where I had to drop a star. Meat and filling was great. However, the bread roll was not baguette style and crispy. Soft and more a hoagie style. Banh Mi bread should be a crispy. So for me, will order other items and not the Banh Mi. Otherwise I look forward to trying the Ramen and other items.“

“Stopped in on a quite Sunday afternoon and were absolutely blown away! The bartenders were super friendly and service was very quick. The beer selection was diverse and the bar set up was unexpectedly beautiful. Now, the food is some of the best bar food I've had. My husband had the Patty Melt and stated that it contends for the best he has ever had. The grilled cheese came with unexpected but welcomed cheese curds. The fries were crisp and salted to perfection. I spent too many years living on that side of town and I'm kicking myself for never going before this week. Definitely a priority stop in the future!“

“I used to inspect the buildings in downtown Milwaukee so I'm quite biased on the atmospheric beautiful and nostalgia but its just wonderful. This place is paired up with the safe house. Cant speak out much because I'd be leaking top secret information ?. If i wasn't inspecting, i was on quick lunches with coworkers but this last visit was all leisure. I recommend an evening visit, with an open adventurous mind, and a partner with the same. Every staff member felt like a friend. They made their own names for us. One member was done for the night- packed up his bags ?, but since we pouted like kids he accommodated with a smile and the most wonderful conversation like we were long time friends. smh. If you don't experience downtown and fifth ward and walkers point Milwaukee i just don't know what to say. You are missing beautiful energies. Definitely will be back here....“

“I decided to celebrate my birthday at Tulum. The location is convenient and parking is available on the street. I contacted the venue through Facebook to make the reservation for approximately 15 people and what I liked the most was they reached out right away to place my reservation. There’s no host/hostess so we sat right away and I noticed the table was set up for my party and next to us was another group. The place looked empty at 7:00 on a Snowy Friday night, but that changed in the course of one hour. All my party was complete and our only server did a great job placing our drinks and food even though they all showed upst different times.I ordered the Molcajete because it stood out from the menu and it didn’t disappoint. It was a massive amount of different meats served with rice, beans, and pico de gallo that my sister and I couldn’t eat half of it after eating tortilla chips and salsa. We drank Happy Hour traditional margaritas and I continued ordering the blended mango margarita. I really liked that one, however it is messy due the chamoy. From the start of our night our server asked us how would the table be splitting the bill. That helped to avoid confusion when paying.Everyone ordered different things from the menu and all seemed very pleased with the quality, timing, service, and the restaurant’s atmosphere.Between 9:00-9:30 the restaurant switched to a night club by turning off the lights and changing the music. I noticed the music genres were shuffling between Traditional Mexican music to Salsa and Bachata.Overall, I had a great experience. I was very pleased with the service and food. I would definitely recommend for parties and/or celebrations. The restaurant brought a lemon filled cupcake with a sparkling candle. It was so cute and dessert was pretty good.Parking: On Kinnickinnic street parking is free past 6:00 pm on Friday.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s one step at the front door and door needs to be held to keep it open. Bathroom is big enough for a wheelchair. Sink might be too small and far to reach.“

“I've lost count as to how many times I've visited Bar Louie. It's probably the number one happy hour spot for my friends and I. They have a large menu with lots of drink and food options. Although I've been coming for years, I've never written a review. I'm writing one now because I'm petitioning for them to never get rid of the new grilled cheese and subsequent chicken parmesan sandwiches. They are like siblings both made with a creamy spread, sliced cheese and a parmesan crust - both incredibly delicious and I will be absolutely devastated if you ever get rid of them. The flatbreads and garlic parmesan wings are a staple as well that I will definitely come back for but I will be dreaming about those sandwiches until I get to eat them again. So. Freaking. Good. And the new beach ball martini was fantastic, I want seven of them on vacation right now :)“

“The atmosphere here is great, servers are friendly and knowledgeable. The burgers and drinks are fabulous!! The only disappointment was the nachos. “In town for a wedding and found this place because we needed Starbucks around the corner. We came back for lunch because my friend Rachel wanted to try the Rachel burger ? “I went here a few weeks ago on my Milwaukee trip. I was staying at the Malt house so it was a convenient nearby place. The food was actually really good. Especially the pizza. The staff was friendlier than anywhere else I went. I’m personally not a huge fan of the atmosphere, theme of the place. The TVs are super up high at the bar, the lighting is dark at night. They have a huge Pabst sign but they didn’t have it on tap of all things. Overall it’s a chill place and the food is worth it.“
