“So I grew up, and lived most of my life in Chicago and the greater Chicagoland area, and I recently relocated to La Crosse. I was pretty sure I was not going to be able to find genuine Chicago Tavern Style thin crust pizza here-I was wrong!!

South Lanes pizza is true Chicago style thin crust pizza (cut into squares, as pizza should be)-perfect crispy crust, the right amount good cheese and nice sauce going almost to the edge of the pie. The Italian sausage has incredible taste.

I hate to admit this, but South Lanes pizza is pretty much as good as anything you'd find in Chicago.
Now, as a lifelong Chicago Bears fan, I'm not going to be rooting for the Packers (or Vikings) anytime soon, but it's nice to know you can get great Chicago style thin crust pizza in Wisconsin!“

“I can’t say enough good things about the staff especially Olivia. I placed a very last minute catering order this morning. An hour later I realized I ordered it for the incorrect time and not only did she quickly accommodate the time change she also let me change the order. I am so appreciative of and I can’t wait to order catering again. The changes to delivery were less than an hour; very impressed.“

“This is a customizable frozen pizza joint, keep expectations at that level. The people working were very kind, the pizza was there and all the customizations were met (we have a dairy allergy, and they were able to do vegan cheese which is rare in this area) the kids enjoyed the make your own pizza and the price point for those was perfect. The stuffed crust is basically Freschetta frozen pizza, the calzone was made to order (with the vegan cheese) and it was very tasty according to those who tried it.

“My husband and I took our girls there this evening and they had a blast, as usual. The cherry on top was that the kids got to meet Chuck E. Our youngest is obsessed with him and it was a dream come to true for her... better than meeting Santa if you ask her. Shout out to Maddie. She was so kind and my kids really like her. “This place is a well-kept secret! We got a gift card last Christmas and until then, I'd only driven by it. But today was probably the tenth time I've picked up pizzas to go, and they're the best around.I work in Foodservice, and I appreciate the extra-effort these guys put into their product. I've probably picked up or received delivery for well over a thousand pizzas, and the number one complaint with a lot of places is that the pizza isn't hot. Not with these guys - the first time I got home and opened a pizza box from Big Al's Too, I was blown away - they put their pizzas on a cardboard circle and also wrap their pizzas in foil. You know why everyone doesn't do this? Because it's EXPENSIVE, that's why. I use aluminum foil at work every single day and I can tell you that the price has almost doubled in the last few years. But you know what's also doubled? The temperature when you stick your hand in the box when you rip off the foil - look out, that pizza is smoking hot. But it makes a huge difference. I got pulled over a few months ago for speeding on the way home, and it took the guys a little bit to run my license and registration, but the pizza was still steaming hot when I got home and everyone was happy.If you haven't tried this place, give it a shot - you'll be glad you did.“
