The Rustic Lodge Bars • $$

“The owner here is amazing. Very family orientated and welcoming. A quiet campground for all to enjoy. If there is a concern the owner listens and will talk to campers. The bar is wonderful to eat at and the lake is an amazing addition for swimming and fishing. I will return here again. Thank you for two wonderful weekends.“

Julie's Trailside Tavern-Grill Bar • $
5992 WI-70, Winter

“Julie's is a great bar and grill just east of Winter on highway 70. They had a good selection of beers and a smaller but tasty menu. Our table had three choices from the dinner menu - shrimp, chicken tenders, and chicken wings. All were tasty and hot. The service was fast and friendly. The bathrooms are nice and clean! This is an excellent stop if you are driving across northern Wisconsin on highway 70.“

“What a nice bar. Amazingly redone. The owners, Lucy and Ricky, are so personable and accommodating. The best of luck to them as they build their business. Great clientele too. Locals are so accepting of those passing thru. Highly recommend.“

Blind Pig Saloon Bar • $
5147 N South Main St, Winter

“My boyfriend and I were staying up in Neenah for the weekend and were desperate for something to do, so we looked into the local "Entertainer" paper. We found a "White tshirt party" at this bar and while I was skeptical, he was (of course) intrigued, so we went to the bar. We were super early so didn't stick around long, but did enjoy $3 margaritas and a nice chat with the owner, who has the place set up like a true 1920's speakeasy. Turns out the party is a blacklight party, with white t-shirts, flourescent markers & blacklight bulbs everywhere, but not until 9 - we still had a couple hours. Sounded kinda fun, but we were so tired we left. Still a great looking, really big bar with a super friendly owner. Will definitely come back if I make it that far north again!“
