“Got to town late. ( after 8:30) By the time we got looking for dinner, everyone stopped serving except pizza. Google said the chit chat was still serving appetizers, so we have it a shot. They reopened the whole menu for us (well, after 9). The burger was excellent. And the walleye sandwich was amazing. Awesome service, great atmosphere, and good people. Highly recommend.“

“Great breaded chicken wings, and sweet potatoes fries. I would recommend trying the sweet chili sauce for both!!!! Taco Tuesday specials looked delicious and all the food came out very quickly. Jessie was very sweet behind the bar and was always checking in to see if we needed anything. 10/10 would recommend if you're in town for a visit.Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is a little tight for wheel chair or walker but having someone go before you to open the door makes access smooth and easy“

“Girls trip - Long weekend getaway, this resort was perfect for us. Cabin was very comfortable and very clean. Nicely equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. Having the bar and grill there was convenient, but holy cow- the food was amazing. Burgers and Wings are the specialty and we can see why. Live music out on the deck Sat and Sun brought in the crowds, so we ordered our food to go and enjoyed it on our deck overlooking the lake. Music was late afternoon to early eve- so it was not a disruption at all. Relaxing atmosphere with families enjoying this little gem in the woods of Wisconsin. The pool on site looks over Birch Lake and is heated. The only disappointment was, there was not a place for a campfire, but in the end, not a big deal. It would also be nice if some of the low laying trees be trimmed out between cabin and lake for a better lake view. Thank you Bev, Pete, Nikki and staff for your hard work and dedication to hospitality. We will be back. PS. We rented a pontoon from Ri-Shells resort across the lake. Great addition to the trip.“

“My wife has been swearing for the last couple of years that they make the best bacon blue cheese burger in the northland. I've been trying to make it out during kitchen hours to try one and yesterday was finally the day. About the burger. Lots of burgers these days are half-pound behemoths loaded with another half-pound of toppings. Why do we somehow think 2-3x a normal size serving is what we need in this country these days?Burger is reasonably sized, beef has a big flavor and was nicely seasoned. Bacon was crispy, blue cheese plentiful and nicely melted. Bun was lightly toasted. Wife is right! Go see Bob and tell him you want a blue cheese burger. If you're in the mood, start with a Bloody Mary while you're waiting. Great little place that you have to go looking for if you're in an on-road vehicle. Pretty easy to find if you follow the signs while riding the local trails.“

“While on vacation stopped in for a cold one. Great place nice atmosphere. Saw they had chicken wild rice soup and had to have a bowl. Took a while but no hurry. It was outstanding! After tasting mine hubby got a bowl too! Guys next to us ordered a pizza and it looked delicious.“
