Once again, I'm writing from a Southerner's perspective. Came to have fried fish and the special was cod...which I consider just a step above fish sticks. Thick crust and tasteless fish. Baked potatos were just slightly warm, not hot, no hushpuppies and the waitress had no idea what "Texas Pete" was although I did get some cocktail sauce when I asked. Service was OK, atmosphere very average.
Friday Fish was for 3 of us, grandson has mac&cheese. Fish was done to a WI classic good as was wife’s baked potato. Potato pancakes for daughter and I had applesauce put on it by us before we discovered they were under cooked. 1-2 more minutes would have finished the gooey interior, seasoning was good. Mac and cheese visually and flavor wise a Kraft boxed delivery. His fries were perfect. Service was prompt and impeccable. Prices reflect the post Covid increase.

Worth a drive to see it. Perhaps I'll return with kids. View/ atmosphere good. No cash. Chili cup was very small for $7. Perhaps 1 oz of meat in it. Not sure I was encouraged to return. Maybe a few lost leaders could be offered such as soup at a better price for visitors like us. I would ladle my own if it helped.
