Was visiting Berkeley Springs for the weekend and this winery was only a couple minutes from my cabin. Upon entering, I was greeted by Dale and his wife with such kindness and enthusiasm. They really spent the time getting to know a little bit about me, instead of just trying to sell me their products. I did the wine tasting and was provided with pretzels, too. We have a house in Berkeley Springs and are always looking for fun things to do in the area. Is it fine wine? No. Are the owners friendly? Yes. Is the wine tasting enjoyable? Yes! It's truth in advertising- a blackberry wine isn't going to win a Wine Spectator 90 point rating but a visit to Cold Run winery is a lovely excursion.

This is WONDERFUL wine made by WONDERFUL people. We are considering on stopping again for more wine because we already drank so much of the SEVEN bottles we purchased three days ago.If you like sweet wine absolutely do not skip this winery! We are so extremely happy with the wine tasting experience and the wine is just so good!!!
