“I’ve been vegan 7 years and after trying this once, it’s now in the top 3 of vegan restaurants I’ve tried worldwide. The food was fresh, came out quick and tasted incredible. Staff was also super friendly and helpful in picking out options. The nachos could easily feed four people so it went a long way for just my boyfriend and I. He’s not vegan but absolutely loved it. We got the buffalo burger and dark horse burger. So sooooo good. Topped it off with oat milk ice cream soft serve. Was exactly what we needed after walking over 5 miles in Harpers Ferry. What an amazing gem - cannot wait to go back!!!“

“Cute little place with a limited but good menu. I wasn't a huge fan of the sourdough, didn't have enough tang. But the asiago loaf was scrumptious and the country loaf was gone in about five minutes. Very cute shop and worth a stop in!“

“We live a few miles away and we've enjoyed several French restaurants in this building for almost two decades. The current owners have truly outdone all the prior owners. This is not the first time we've been here under current management, but last night was the best experience ever!My husband and I enjoyed (a split portion of) the soup of the day, chicken soup with lots of vegetables, followed by the Norwegian salmon. Every component was beautifully cooked - my husband's medium and my medium-rare were perfect with skin so crunchy my husband didn't even remove it; the asparagus was cooked al dente as it should be, the mashed potatoes were tasty, and the ravigote sauce provided the perfect acidic counterpoint. Last but not least, our espresso martinis were great - perfect choice of cinnamon variety and amount.Our server, Taylor, was personable and professional, and made sure that food and drinks were served promptly and as ordered.As someone with a gluten intolerance, I was grateful that Taylor gave me choices and placed the GF bread order early enough that it arrived together with the regular bread. For the first time ever in this restaurant, my husband and I were able to share the three different kinds of butters without my having to beg him to save some for me! (Note: he rarely eats butter.) “Dear Market Table Bistro: you are a gem in the DMV. You are all Michelin ? to us. Every time we dine with you, we leave with bellies & hearts full. This time was no exception. Thank you for all the effort you put into procuring locally sourced options & serving them up in the most delightful & delicious way. (I just finished the to go side of beans/root vegetables on toast & said an out loud & potentially annoying YUM with every bite. SO GOOD.) Thank you for all you do.“

“Plentiful tea goodies and attentive service, nice selection of interesting teas. The scones were just a bit over baked and the tea sandwiches would have benefitted from a few veggies or fruit slices or something more inventive along with the cream cheese and herbs. The decor is playful and nostalgic. Nice reuse of an old church building that we are told had gone into severe decline. I'd go back for lunch.Parking: We drove around trying to figure out if the restaurant had its own parking lot but it doesn't. Street parking is cheap compared to DC (50 cents an hour) but the parking kiosk ate two of my quarters!“

“The service is AMAZING. Young people, SUPER friendly and helpful with selection!!!It was our first time, so we got the meat platter, LOTS of food!!! The steak wasn't very edible though, very tough. The chicken was so tender!!!Desserts were fun and delicious!There was even live music!It was pretty pricy, in my opinion. But I'm not familiar with "fine dining" like this. $150+ for 5 people. But the experience was worth it.“

“Would just like to give a huge shout out to Mike for being our guy and making & delivering 20 large pizzas to Shenandoah Center in Charles Town to feed the residents today during an unexpected propane outage. We really appreciate the effort and promptness, I had 68 hungry residents who needed lunch today and Mike made that happen for them. Thank you Mike & staff for everything.“

“Oh my goodness, I had no idea this place existed until a friend and I visited today with our children! Excellent customer service, wonderful welcoming environment! Loved the food and desserts display! I bought the coconut cupcake, lemon cupcake, the sausage & mozzarella roll and 2 bottles of chocolate milk, everything was DELICIOUS! Absolutely DELICIOUS! I'm a nine-year-old black lab.My mom and dad spend all day hiking with me on the Canal Trail and worked up a big hunger.We went to Lilah for dinner.I was happy tail happy to find out I was able to join them.The staff gave me continuous loving attention while my parents enjoyed their delicious meal.They had a harvest salad and tasty nachos. And Thursday happened to be Martini night.The highlight for me was the owner gave me the foot-long steak bone off her delicious thick and juicy steak.What a terrific, cozy, welcoming, community gathering place with fantastic food.“
