Chow Thai serves phenomenal food with exceptional service, making it one of the best restaurants in the Charleston area. The dishes can be very spicy, so caution is advised when ordering. Vegan options are available, but be prepared for a hotter-than-expected medium spice level. The Pad Thai is delicious and comes with a generous amount of shrimp, much more than many other places. Pad Kee Mao is also amazing, especially when ordered with chicken and ramen. The staff is extremely friendly, kind, and consistently provides great service. The dining area is small, with around 4 tables, so it can get crowded at lunchtime. This place does serious business, so if ordering around lunch, be prepared for a bit of a wait. Pickup times quoted are always spot on. Their Thai tea, especially with boba, is amazing, and the fried rice is really solid. Many customers love the large portions and reasonable prices, making it a must-visit gem in the area.
