“Staff did a fantastic job handling this crazy woman demanding more shots of espresso and yelling at an extremely busy staff on a weekend morning. An espresso machine wasn't working and she was upset about the wait and about the volume of her shots insisting that her cup wasn't holding 6 shots of espresso. I heard the phrase 'I ordered 6 shots and that is not 6 shots' at least 23 times. Kudos to the staff for their patience in handling such a difficult person. I highly recommend the store and to the lady, I recommend decaf.“

He’s the real deal through and through, and I’m out here rooting for him with everything I’ve got. I truly believe big things are coming his way, and I’ll be the first one cheering when he crosses that finish line. He’s a winner in my book!“
“There’s these too workers who I absolutely LOVE. One is a female with black hair and blonde bangs. The other is a male that wear glasses. There amazing. From their drinks to there personalities. They are so friendly and I can’t think of a better starbucks experience!!!“
“While visiting Charleston, West Virginia, a friend of my late identical twin brother drove me to this Starbucks, located across from a McDonald's in Kanawha City, West Virginia. My friend goes here for a croissant and coffee at least five days a week, mainly to work on his laptop computer. While the WiFi here is usually working and has a strong connection, on a subsequent visit in May 2026, the WiFi was not working, which was an annoyance for me and also others. My friend told me it had been out for several days.
This location in Kanawha City has a drive-through line for window for orders. The sparce interior has several comfortable vinyl upholstered chairs. The large (I estimate the room at least 25 feet by 60 feet in size ) air-conditioned, rectangular room has tall ceilings, and the exterior walls are floor-to-ceiling plate glass.
If you enjoy Starbucks, this is one of two in Charleston. The employees are friendly and efficient. On one visit I ordered a breakfast egg and bacon sandwich and a large ceramic cup of coffee. But the food had no taste and was not warm. I had to walk to the counter to ask for a small packet of salt.
Starbucks is, in my view, the McDonald's of Coffee. To me, it's really nothing special and it seems overpriced. I only went there because my sister had given me a gift certificate and the other times because my twin brother's friend drove me in his car. I did notice that the size of his croissants had noticeably shrunk from my previous visit in 2025.“
