“Surprisingly awesome take out spot in Elkview. Wife and I are transplants from another more metropolitan area and figured we wouldn't be impressed, but we were! Food is delicious, staff is nice, prices reasonable, hours are good. What's not to like?”

With the turnover rate of employees at local businesses on the rise since 2020, it is comforting to see familiar faces every time I am there. “Quick lunch at Sam's Hot Dogs (located in the Exxon) in Elkview. The hotdogs with spicy chili are pretty good. I will say this (and I think it applies to all Sams locations) the spicy chili isn't spicy but has better flavor than the reg chili. Bun was soft and the coleslaw nice a creamy; onions chopped super fine. The cheese fries could have been fried just a tad longer but that's probably just a personal preference. Overall not a bad hotdog. Service was quick, and there are a couple tables if you want to eat inside the gas station. We ordered 3 hotdogs and the fries for $13; not a bad value.”

“The dining area is always neat and clean. The employees are always very nice and willing to help customers. The food is always fresh and good and the orders are always correct. This is the best Taco Bell in the area.”

“Stopped at Tudor's Biscuit World in Elkview West Virginia on our way home from Mount Lookout West Virginia to Cleveland Ohio. Ordered two (2) orders of sausage gravy with two (2) biscuits each order and two (2) hashbrowns. Total cost was $15.00. Order only took less than 5 minutes. Hash browns were hot..very good..Sausage gravy over the biscuit s was also very hot..very good also. Lot of food..only able to eat hashbrown and 1 whole biscuit. Very satisfying for the price. Would recommend them if you needed a quick bite to eat. Thank you. Respectfully GlennParking: Several marked handicap parking spaces..but the small parking lot was rather full..probably due to the Sunday church lunch crowd there. All in all, an enjoyable experience. The service, I've never had an issue with the customer service aside from them applying an coupon incorrectly, the owner of that subway needs to fix the a/c for that location I genuinely feel bad for the workers because they do not have ac. The ambiance, it's an subway not sure what you're really expecting.”

“I ate here a few times when they first opened up, the service and the food was so horrible we haven't been back untill last week. We saw they had new nuggets, they looked like the Chick FIL A ones. We ordered them and some chicken tenders, everything we ordered was absolutely perfect. We also went through again later on in the week and everything was perfect then too. Everyone at our house loves the new nuggets. So if you had a bad experience before maybe give them another shot like we did.”

“A real treat happens to be the WV Corner Kitchen. It is like entering the kitchen of your grandma, where every dish is a hug. The vibe is comfortable and inviting, causing you to feel right at home. The food? It really is utterly delicious, man! Ideal homestyle food preparation each time. How about the staff? She is super friendly and always available with a smile. It is the ideal setting for a cozy dinner. It is a must-see if you are ever in the area!”

“This place is an amazing treasure with friendly workers. We arrived at the hotel across the street on a rainy night and didn't want to go far. The restaurant next to the hotel got mediocre reviews so we decided to try Barone Brothers which got excellent reviews. Wow. The Great reviews couldn't have prepared us for the amazing toasted Italian sub my husband ordered. The meats were hearty deli slices. The sandwich was cooked to perfection. I ordered a Greek salad. The salad was nice and cold. The mix of veggies was perfection. The dressing was good. Maybe more Italian inspired but it was a perfect compliment to the salad. We would stop off the interstate again specifically to go to this charming little place. It's not fancy. They appear to do mostly a takeout business, but they do have seating. We arrived close to closing time, and were not rushed or made to feel like an imposition at all. They treated us like we were right on time. So friendly..”

“What a well hidden secret little treasure!! This might look like a little hole in the wall but oh my goodness the food was delicious!! We had a club sandwich, fries, mini corn dogs and a ceaser salad. The fries were fresh cut right as we ordered them! The meat on the sandwich was delicious and the salad was terrific! Every burger that went by us looked amazing. We were there with little ones and the servers were on top of things with a special cup and straw and brought a high chair before we even asked!!I look forward to going back and trying more of their menu!!Parking: There are a few parking places in front of the restaurant, otherwise there is street parking. Based on the few parking spaces available, it appeared we would have a little wait but it wasn’t at all crowded inside!Kid-friendliness: This is a bar they are very kid friendly! There is a discount for kids meals but they do not offer apple juice as a drink.”

“Some of the best Chinese food in the Kanawha Valley. Our order is always correct, even when we ask for modifications to the dish. They pay attention to the special requests, especially regarding food allergies. Food has always been delivered hot and fresh. And it took a good 25 mins to serve. Woman at the counter told me it might take that long but for 25 mins, I’d expect something with a little flavor.Woman at the counter also seemed very young and very uninterested in serving. A male coworker came in halfway through her prepping my order and they were chatting up a storm… now I couldn’t see her so I can’t say if this actually slowed progress or not, but it sure seemed like it.Overall cute place. I might stop by again for a smoothie or açaí bowl, but I’m not particularly impressed.”
