Calamity J Grill & Bar Reviews
Ordered to go at work today, we ended up having to wait 2 HOURS for our order and then once the person picking it up got our food for us, my food was not even in the bag so I just paid for and waited for food that I never received. No one will answer the phone when you call.
We stopped with a party of 30 after being told they could handle a large group. Most people waited over an hour for food, but four of us didn’t get ours for 2.5 hours — and by then we were already trying to get our bills so we could start our three‑hour drive home. No discount, just excuses.

Took the kids here tonight for the first time and everything was delicious! Santa Fe Chicken was well seasoned and the sauce is very creamy, the kids loved their spaghetti, and chicken Caesar salad and we all loved the chips with salsa and queso, fries and the mozzarella sticks. Everything was cooked perfectly! Tim was our server and he was great also! We will be back for sure! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Calamity J Grill & Bar offers a boho atmosphere reminiscent of the original restaurant from the 90s, with excellent food and good prices. The menu features a variety of dishes, including bone in wings, a good Ruben, pretzel prime rib sliders, Cheeseburger with fries, and Jalapeño Poppers. Guests have enjoyed the pulled pork nachos and the Crazy Bowl, both of which received positive remarks. The bar serves excellent cocktails, with a Tanqueray and tonic being notable, and the red sangria pitcher is a great deal for a fruity drink. The staff is friendly and phenomenal, with service that goes above and beyond, highlighted by a young woman named Mashayla, who provided a delightful experience. The art work on the walls and the overall design of the building are loved, with a cute little balcony on the second floor offering a wonderful touch overlooking 3rd Ave and Marshall Campus. It is super close to the Interstate and right across the street from the Main entrance of Marshall University. The vibes are just right for a casual uplifting place to eat, with both indoor and outdoor seating available.
