“1st time here, This was surprisingly great!! Nice and fresh hot chicken tenders and onion rings. This was just a pitstop but the service was excellent really enjoyed it and they have plenty to choose from on their menu and of course the root beer was really good. don’t have much left on the pics cause I ate too fast. “There are a number of things that I could start off by saying I enjoyed about this place I could say that the food was really good I could say that the ambience was nice and cozy without being bright and annoying I could say that the service was really good which are all true... “Woody’s is a hometown favorite- always great service and great hotdogs!!! They also have awesome pepperoni rolls that you can get with cheese and/or sauce and BBQ pork sandwiches. They have sides like potato salad, macaroni salad and coleslaw. If your in town, definitely stop on East Side at Woody’s to check out some of Fairmont’s history on the walls and have some great food!!”

“First time here and we will definitely be back!! Everything was amazing and the staff was great!! The manager came over to ask us how everything was and sent us home with an extra loaf of that yummy bread and two free desserts!! Looking forward to trying them when we get home. “Bring cash! Closed for the winter. They will reopen in Spring 2024! There is almost always a line to get ice cream and other treats at this local legend! Remember to BRING CASH! Dairy Creme Corner is a local institution! Their portions are absolutely insane! Try finishing a large ice cream cone! They closed for the winter season on October 8, 2023! They will reopen in Spring 2024.”

“I enjoyed the meal.Not spectacular, but it was as good as it should be (I had the kielbasa, red potatoes and cabbage) and the chicken salad was pretty good too. Just a little disappointing that it was almost a paste consistency. The Fudge Cake was better than advertised. I would order it a dozen times over the Shoney’s fudge cake.If I come back to the area I’ll have to try a different dish. And maybe dine in, but as it is seat yourself, I didn’t want to take up a table by myself.If there’s no parking out front, it’s a good bet that the house is full and there are seats available for the wheelchair bound.”

“Decent pizza and a good taste. A bit much sauce, and I got the Deluxe Pizza. I was afraid the meatballs would be huge but they are not very big.Lots of room in the dining area for wheelchairs, well lit, and plenty of parking outside the door.”

“The hot dog game is competitive in Fairmont. These guys are ready to Stand toe to toe with legends. The guys behind the counter engaged each and every person. The welcoming nature of everyone was a nice touch. The dogs were spot on. I like my dogs spicy and when they say hot, these provided a kick.”

“This place is always fantastic! The waitresses are so sweet and the food is always delicious! We have went as a group of two and we have had as many as eight people and they never get anything wrong. We have never had to send anything back. Their rye bread and the homemade raisin bread are fantastic! I love that they have fresh cut fries! Salads are delicious as is the steak sandwich but eight times out of 10 we get a sampler for breakfast which leaves you filled for a great price! Highly recommend!”

“Recently made a stop to Short Story. Such a great place to visit. Food was delicious and my husband enjoyed his beer. The employees were super friendly while answering questions and having conversations. The area was clean and relaxing. “It’s great, we ordered food to go and they put the ingredients in small containers (they are supposed to be on the fires btw) so our fires wouldn’t get soggy on the way home. They also have a new guy whose atmosphere and service is amazing. Their food is nicely priced and even an appetizer is fulfilling. I live nearby so I know what I’m talking about. :)”
