Great tacos! I am a diehard fan of Mexican food and Picnic in Thomas knows what they are doing. On a nice day, you can have a picnic outside on one of their many picnic tables or if it's raining they have a small indoor space as well.

Amazingggg food. We got the carnitas, beef, and chicken tacos - all were excellent. So were the sides and margaritas (potent and delicious). Cool vibe and concept. A must visit.
Great and inviting casual place for tacos or a rice bowl. Service is quick and helpful. We tried: - the carnitas rice bowl which comes with bright purple cabbage, black beans, rice, and the pulled pork which is quite tender and flavorful. - the taco platter with ground beef for one taco and another carnitas, both of which were packed with flavor and balanced with the hit of lime and hot sauce of our choosing. Came with two plantains. - Sweet plantains were good and I like the cool and fresh green sauce that comes when you order the side of plantains. - kids tacos: well constructed in that they stick together well with the beans and cheese and aren't messy. They do come out piping hot and take awhile to cool so plan accordingly. I'll be back when I'm next in town! -

After a day on the slopes I needed some good food fast and asked some of the folks working at Timberline where to go. They both recommended Picnic Tacos and it did not disappoint. I got the 2 taco plate that came with rice, beans, and a couple plantains. Both tacos were good, but I did like the chicken over the pork. Maybe I should've tried the ground beef? Next time for sure.

The girl at the counter is super welcoming, the space is modest, and the decor is hip. It's also spotless. The menu isn't overly complicated. The ingredients are fresh, BUT most importantly, the food is delicious! It's one of the top two Mexican food experiences I've had, proving you don't have to be over the top to be great. I would drive the three hours to eat it again. My taste buds and stomach are sad that Picnic isn't in our city. I had a bowl with carnitas. It was delicious. I really enjoyed the way all of the flavors compliment each other, especially the pickled cabbage and guacamole. Will definitely visit again.

Very impressed. Really enjoyed my chicken taco platter as did my daughter in law. That’s saying something because she lived most of her life in Arizona, where they have some fantastic tacos! I loved the caramelization on the plantains.

Awesome place. The feller working that took our order was very nice. Would highly recommend. My husband got the carnitas taco plate, pulled pork was very juicy. I got the beef bowl with no pickled slaw. Was delicious. Will return.

Coming from San Diego I'm a big taco snob and l'm always a little reluctant when my boyfriend wants to try a taco place. Picnic Taco has excellent tacos, and I loved the fried plantains. The outdoor seating area is also very nice and dog friendly. My boyfriend and I will be sure to visit again next time we are in the area.
