Pleasant atmosphere, great service, excellent food. Three of our party ordered filets and they were cooked perfectly. I had the fisherman trio which was delicious and was plated beautifully. A true fine dining experience. Highly recommend.
To start, you cannot beat Trace. I am convinced. My friend group and I visited Trace on Wednesday. From the time we stepped inside until we left the experience was extravagant. I am from Pittsburgh, and when we arrived I quickly connected with Matt the manager and Danielle our server.

Trace Chophouse offers a pleasant atmosphere and excellent food. The space is small, about 50 seats, built around stone, dark wood, and firelight. Guests feel welcomed from the moment they step through a quasi‑hidden entrance. The manager is warm and personable, checking in regularly, while servers are knowledgeable and friendly. Service is described as over the top, with quick responses and attentive conversation that makes guests feel looked after.
Food is consistently praised. Filets are cooked perfectly, and the fisherman trio is delicious and plated beautifully. Other highlights include lamb lollipops, roasted bone marrow with caramelized onions, lobster mac, cowboy cut ribeye, rainbow trout, filet mignon, and lamb chops. Desserts are exquisite, with a birthday dessert written in chocolate sauce and other surprise items from the chef. Drinks are a signature experience; the smoked old fashioned and Montenegroni are especially noted.
The price is high, but many guests say the combination of cooking, room, and service justifies the cost. Trace is seen as a special‑occasion restaurant, and many return for future events.
