“We stopped at Cook’s Country Kitchen while traveling for a late breakfast. The food was good overall but the hash browns were not good at all and the grits were quite tasteless. My wife’s steak and gravy was cold. So the food was good but there’s room for improvement.“

“Overall loved this restaurant! We had lunch here and the fried green tomato sandwich and the club were delicious! The ambiance is great with such a cute style. The only thing I would've liked service wise was our server to tell us that gratuity was already included in the bill ahead of time. It was my first meal on the resort property so didn't realize it. Thankfully every other dining place has told it since.“
“My husband and I were in visiting family and decided to have dinner at the The Varisty Club. The resultant and The school house is very cool and has a nice atmosphere. The drink were good and the food was ok. To us it wasn’t worth the price, even more so for a small town. We both got the ribeye, my brother got a hamburger and my sister in law got the filet mignon. We shared the scallops to start and I had a Cesar salad. The scallops were amazing!!! The salad was ok. It was like they too a whole heart of romaine and chopped the bottom off and threw it on a plate and drizzled the dressing over it. Not nearly enough dressing. The steaks and burger are good and cooked well. The sides we got with our meals were average. The vegetables were a little undercooked. We order and extra side of the Mac and cheese were highly disappointed. It tasted like watered down Mac and cheese with barely a hint of cheese. Definitely not worth the $12. Our server was amazing and very attentive!Over all it was a pretty cool place. Growing up here and seeing the transformation was pretty interesting. I doubt we will be back but if we are maybe we’ll try the Roof Top!“
