We ate the breakfast buffet both days at the resort and our food was fantastic. This is the best breakfast I've ever eaten, hands down. I made sure to go back for seconds so I could get my money's worth. The bread pudding was divine. The sausage and bacon was perfectly prepared. My husband loved his ham and cheese omelet. The wait staff was wonderful for both meals. They took wonderful care of us and made sure we had everything we needed and wanted.
Once great, now run down and way overpriced. Justice family upgraded the Greenbrier in their first year or maybe two. Since then it's declined to the point that only the golf courses are worth visiting. The food is only good but you pay Michelin star prices. Visit Lewisburg restaurants for better dining. I'm a huge history fan - the good, the bad, the ugly - and will travel far and wide to see historical places. On a whim, we decided to take a medium south bound drive to White Sulphur Springs for the history and nature. One of the places we visited was The Greenbrier Resort and, um, I'm still not sure how I feel. The grounds are spacious and well-manicured.
