About Colter's Cafe

Colter's Cafe is a friendly and welcoming restaurant known for its great food and warm atmosphere. The menu features popular items like blueberry pancakes, biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, and scrambled eggs, all prepared well and enjoyed by many customers. The hashbrowns are notably seasoned and cooked perfectly, providing a flavorful alternative to the usual bland options. While the food quality is consistently praised, some reviews mention that the place looks dated but remains clean.

Service experiences vary. The staff in the morning, including Wendy, Jason, Shella, and Chop, are described as amazing, friendly, and attentive, making guests feel well taken care of. However, some reviews point out inconsistent service on the cafe side, with awkward ordering processes and billing issues, while the bar side tends to be more efficient and friendly. One reviewer highlighted exceptional hospitality from a staff member who went out of the way to assist after a reservation mishap, emphasizing the staff’s courtesy and helpfulness.

The ambiance is authentic and cozy, making it a good spot for an early breakfast, especially for travelers near Yellowstone. Overall, Colter's Cafe offers good food, friendly service, and a comfortable environment, making it a recommended stop for a satisfying meal.

The food is Great! My favorite are the blueberry pancakes. The Colter’s Family is here to serve you! Wendy, Jason, Shella, and Chop, are here to serve you in the morning. They are AMAZING and friendly morning people! Thanks guys!

Took a chance and stopped in for breakfast around 9:45 on a Saturday; no wait. I always rate a restaurant by ordering biscuits and gravy; it's just what I do~ Colter's Lodge is only the second place in the US that I will admit has made them better than I do at home! Hashbrowns were also notable; seasoned and cooked perfectly; a welcome change to the typical/bland oil and potatoes flavor. Every staff member said good morning to my wife and I and our drinks were always full! Will...read full review
