We come to the Hitching Post for breakfast as the service and food is better than it has been in the evening.This time in, we ordered the loaded biscuits and gravy with extra crispy hashbrowns, and the eggs Benedict with extra crispy hashbowns. We've always loved the deep-fried hashbrowns, but today, they wouldn't do it, not sure why. The food was still great, and I would highly recommend. This is a good restaurant that seems to cater to locals. The service was very friendly and efficient. I went for dinner and had liver and onions which somehow struck me as having been prepared country-style with gravy. It was good. The meal came with everything such as potatoes, veggies, bread, etc. and the cost was very reasonable. Since I needed to get on the road early the next morning I found that they opened for breakfast promptly at 6 and I was there for a quick breakfast...read full review

On a whim, while staying in rock springs, my sweetheart and I had a hankering for soup and salad.We chose to one trip soup and salad bar. The clam chowder was delicious and the salad bar had lots of fresh options and was very clean.We also shared the ham sandwich. I was tasty and they didn't skimp on the ham.We will definitely go back.
