About Sunshine Coffee - Zero Waste Coffee Shop

Sunshine Coffee - Zero Waste Coffee Shop is a cute spot inside the civic center in a building once used for a high school. It has a great mission with zero-waste efforts and a community fund that is easy to donate to. The coffee and food are great, with highlights including a chai latte, an herb and cheese scone that is the most moist wonderfully textured scone, sweet cinnamon rolls, and a cookie warmed up perfectly and stuffed full of chocolate chips. The matcha is delicious, and the honey rose latte is memorable. The breakfast sandwich had avocado that was a little rubbery. Customers can use their own mugs or plan on spending a dollar for a 12 oz mason jar. The service is friendly and helpful, with great people and a barista who was really good. It is a treasure worth going out of your way to go to, with local art off the walls to buy. It is a model for all businesses, truly zero waste.

I’ve been an employee and tenant of the Laramie Plains Civic Center for 2 years and the addition of Sunshine Coffee has been much needed. Not only does the building now offer food and drink outside of its lone Pepsi machine, but it has tremendously enhanced the atmosphere of the south entrance of the building.

When I come into the building now, there are smiling faces gathered and great smells of coffee and food filling the space. It feels much more alive than before....read full review
Such a warm and inviting space! The coffee and food are amazing! I love the no waste model and the location is absolutely perfect for young families, located in the Civic center with The Nest, Abundance, sports, and martial arts and across the street from the library. I'm obsessed!!!
Places like this make me feel more grounded jn community, and I'm not even a local. Definitely will recommend to others
