“I've been to Milton Street pub about 10 times and it has always shown itself to be a fantastic place. It has a boat load of character, the food is some of the best in Nanaimo and all the staff are lovely. If you ever go and there is a hotdog/sausage special, get it! Get 2 as a matter of fact. Fatten yourself up on the deliciousness. If it's not on special anything else off the menu is still amazing. Reuben! Caprese! Salad! All amazing. I tip my hat to you ladies and gentlemen! “Had a wonderful experience here today. We got all sorts of sushi rolls, mango, unagi, mt benson, etc. My friend had a bunch of sashimi and loved it. The rolls were a mixture of small and tight and larger.The servers were fantastic. Honestly, can’t say enough to emphasize how awesome this place is.“

“Delicious authentic Vietnamese food. We recently came back from a vacation to Vietnam and were craving Vietnamese food. The food was flavorful and the ice coffee was excellent. The staff are friendly and our food was served quickly. Overall a great experience.“

“Like so many places in Canada, we have learned to accept untained service staff. Since Covid, managers are doing the best they can with the staff they have. Our waitress didn't know the specials or what was on tap and didn't acknowledge us as we were leaving. Maybe hospitality will never get back to where it once was. The food was what we expected after reading other reviews and the space has so much unrealized potential.“

“Original Post Early 2023We went to Milano’s two weeks ago and we were disappointed. We have been there dozens of times but this time it was terrible.The special was very small portioned along with the calamari appy was cold and was the smallest portion I have seen for the place. At $16 it added up to almost a dollar a piece. The chicken was advertised as two pieces of breast meat but I didn’t expect them to slice one small breast in half and call it two. I also don’t like the fact they charge the MSP tax even though they have raised their prices and made the portions smaller.It is time to find a new favorite restaurant.Update April 2024We have given them another chance and they have returned to the top of our restaurant list in Nanaimo. We have been back twice now and are very happy with them again.“

“Out of the pub/lounge venues in Nanaimo, they were the quickest to respond to our request to reserve a table of 20. Our group had a great time socializing and enjoying good brews. My personal favourites were the Radler (mango, pineapple, lime) and Ciders (Rum based and cranberry based). Great atmosphere, easy to socialize, staff were great. Thanks for helping me make the after work social a success! I only wished we could have stayed longer into the night. Thank you White Sails for a good night.“

“My wife and I went to the food court in Woodgrove Mall, Nanaimo a few days ago. We chose the three choices meal from the Manchu Wok. We chose Sweet & Sour pork, Salt & pepper fish and Honey & Garlic chicken accompanied by vegetable fried rice. There was plenty for the two of us. The meal was very tasty and enjoyable and represented excellent value for less than C$ 15. Staff were very helpful. I'll be going there again!“

Both my partner and I had the chicken strips, which were fantastic! Finished it off with some chocolate cake. Overall a great experience and we plan to make it a regular stop on our way up/down the island.“

We ordered ramen soup & yang chou fried rice and it is savoury and very delicious. They have big portions as well & were so full. The place is clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
