“Picked up 4 cookies before taking the Rocky Mountaineer train to Banff. They were each out of this world and I wish I could snap my fingers and be right there, any time I wanted. Never had anything like this, anywhere else.“

“Had to stop by cuz it’s always smelled so good every time I’ve walked by prior.Had a beef dip sandwich (Friday special) that was absolutely gas. Flavour was top notch and the bread was spectacular. Texture is just as important as taste to me and the sandwich delivered.Service was very welcoming and friendly! I’ll be back to try the soups and deserts the next time I get a chance.“

“I went to this place at around 9:30 in morning for one slice of pizza. Kokila (Manager) was there alone. She made a whole pizza and served hot slice to me. She also recommended downloading app and explained all the benefits. About the pizza, it was just amazing and not at all chewy. Taste was too good and amazing customer service. “Loved every minute of our dining experience here! The aromas upon entering this wee spot got us excited, the welcoming staff were lovely, and then...the food. We ordered Omakase C - Cofu and were delighted! The presentation is artful, but not fussily so. The flavours were layered and subtle so every ingredient could be tasted. Our favourite was the salmon sushi (we ordered an extra 8 pieces!), rich, decadent and delish, especially with the Cilantro Cucumber sauce. We tried the Restore and Elevate mushroom tinctures on the rocks; unexpected flavours, but they grew on us paired with the food and a little ice melt dilution. We will go back time and again to try everything on the menu. Highly recommended!“

“What an amazing experience. We had our son's birthday dinner over a three- course meal and it was perfect. From the cocktails to the wine pairing, to the homemade foccacia bread, pasta, salmon, lobster, prawns and tiramisu - we were over the top inpressed. “Despite the name, Kranky Cafe is staffed by the nicest, most pleasant people you will find anywhere. The vibe they've created here is everything you could want from a community cafe. I was made to feel so welcome from the first time I walked in, and since then the baristas have cared enough to remember me, learn my name, ask how I'm doing/what I'm up to and follow up on it the next time I'm back, which is sometimes a month or more later. I've really never been to a coffee shop where the baristas show such genuine interest in customers. I'm not naturally very outgoing so I usually don't really get to know staff at cafes that I frequent, but it's not like I feel like these people are forcing me to converse with them, they're just really nice and it is infectious!As wonderful as the people are, I wouldn't be coming back over and over again if the food wasn't equally as wonderful, but it absolutely is. Their baked goods are homemade and it's very evident in the quality - everything tastes so wholesome! The sandwiches and wraps are great - the Big Veg sandwich, my favourite, is a killer vegan option. And they make good drinks too. The espresso drinks are pretty standard but brewed strong (but not TOO strong), and I think all the tea drinks (including the tea lattes and just straight-up tea) are excellent.They offer a lot of variety in the menu. It's not a vegan cafe (there are plenty of meat options) but there are some very good options for vegans: an assortment of vegan baked goods and two vegan sandwiches. They whip up new things from time to time.It's pretty small inside but they have a lot of patio space for when the weather's decent. They have blankets you can use to keep warm. I love the vibe, it's colourful and cozy inside and the patio has a rustic garden feel.This is the place to visit if you need to lift your spirits.“

“Amazing service, great food, pleasant atmosphere with fun artwork. Everything can be made VEGAN AND GLUTEN FREE!I went there not knowing much about it, first time going and i had a great experience. When you walk in you are greeted by the beautiful atmosphere in the room. Lots of paintings on the walls depicting scenes, and lots and lots of animals! There is lots of seating and a place near the door where you can buy frozen foods / treats.The service was perfection. Liv our server did an amazing job at helping us choose just what we were looking for, she gave personal recommendations as well that where just to our liking. She had knowledge of the menu which helped a lot in our deciding of what to eat. Overall our experience there wouldn't be the same if the service wasn't some of the best service i have ever experienced.The food came fast that we could barely keep up until our table became overcrowded, and it was all delicious. Everything on the menu can be made Vegan and Gluten free which was very shocking to me. They have their own Vegan sour cream, Vegan cheeses, and others. They also have an Edamame based Guacamole which had a unique flavor i would recommend trying for yourself. I highly recommend trying the Spicy Nachos, the Ronny Russel, and the side beans, rice, and salad was delicious.I highly recommend checking this place out as it fits all the dietary restrictions. It earns a massive plus from being a restaurant that can serve an all Vegan and Gluten free menu as well.
