“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“The original Baekjeong location has now changed to Origin Korean BBQ. The meat quality is excellent, and the barbecue is expertly done. Service was quick, and the prices are fair. The only downside is the buckwheat noodles; they're too tough in texture . Overall, I'm satisfied and definitely plan to return.“

“After eating here for the first time, I told my brother (who I ate with) this is definitely the spot to bring the parents. A couple months later, we brought mom and dad. Enough said. Service and quality of food were really good. Highlights include marinated prime short rib, aged prime tenderloin, steamed egg, and Korean chimichurri sauce.“

“My favorite soondubu place! Korean restaurants don't usually have much vegan banchan but Surawon always has plenty of options, usually at least 4 out of the 6 or so banchan are vegan. My favorites are the firm tofu and seaweed. The mushroom, seaweed, and veggie soondubu, as well as the japchae, bibimbap, and pajeon can all be made vegan, and everything is excellent. Service is quick and friendly!Vegetarian options: Plenty of clearly labeled vegan options on the menu“

“This place looks great when you walk in. You'll be ready to sing out of tune right away. The individual rooms are spacious and comfortable. You can't hear other people very much when your music is going. I didn't have any food so I don't know how that is. The karaoke system is mostly in Korean but you can get around if you don't speak it. The one issue I have is that songs that are listed in the book can only be pulled up via the numerical code and not by searching the song title or artist name. This forces you to spend a lot of time looking through the book which is not in any specific order. Another small issue is the words on the screen do not move and sync with the music so it's better if you know the song by heart.“

“Original Bone Broth ?It’s hard to dispute the fact that Los Angeles’ Koreatown is the mecca for Korean food in the United StatesI’ve never lived close enough to explore it well but did this past week sampling soy marinated raw crabs, short rib stews, and multi-colored banchanMy favorite however was the traditional ox bone soup. In the SF Bay Area, I most often order the more flavorful galbi tang (short rib soup) but the sul lung tang is as close to Korea and the go-to in LAI’ve been wanting to try Han Bat Shul Lung Tang for close to a decade and it did not disappointJust a pinch of salt, plentiful scallions and a side of kimchi and rice made the perfect meal combinationThe broth is milky white (side note I also tried the clear sul lung tang at Young Dang) and it’s so full of rich beefiness you can easily tell it’s made over hoursParking isn’t as bad as I’ve always feared in LA with plentiful lots and parking structures in Koreatown that makes it a destination worthy of your time? Salgoki Sul Lung Tang $20 ~ brisket / Seokum $20 ~ mixed / Naejang $20 ~ Intestines, Tripe, Spleen?Hanbat Sul Lung Tang (Los Angeles, CA)Seating is indoor only and limited metered street parking is available nearby. “This place was awesome. First of all, Lena our waitress was so kind and willing to explain the menu to us as this was our first time. The food was delicious, I recommend getting a combo so you can try many different things. Not only was the food good but the experience was amazing as well. Lena cooked the meats on front of us (she cooked them perfectly) and you could add seasonings and sauces. Additionally, the sides are brought by ROBOTS. My little sister loved this and couldn't stop giggling every time a robot came by and dropped of some kimchi which was free with the combo. 10/10 would recommend. We will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you Lena!“

“Wow! The best marinated pork ribs! Come on down to Jin Ju. It isn't an all you can eat spot, but you can't beat the quality. My friend and I decided to try the prime beef and the marinated pork ribs (which is their speciality). Both meats were very delicious. They pretty much cook your food for you. The beef was cut into nice cubes. They were cooked at a perfect medium rare. The prok ribs were also cut into pieces, as well. There was a good selection of 10 types of banchan: fishcake (eomuk bokkeum), sesame broccoli, kimchi, potato salad, cucumber kimchi (sigeumchi-namul), stir-fried glass noodles (japchae), korean spinach, pickled onions, bean sprouts (kongnamul), pancake (yachaejeon), and radish kimchi (kkakdugi) . And honestly, this spot has one of the better quality banchan sides. The japchae had so much flavor, and the potato salad was also good. I appreciated that they offered the pickled onions, which goes really well with the marinated pork. My friend was also excited that they had korean spinach, which most places don't have at all. We also ordered the red pepper paste soup. It was so good! Rick and full of flavor. There's enough seating for 2-6 people to each table. It's not too big of a spot, so if you're trying to get away from the long lined spots - this is the spot to be. Service is quick and friendly. There is free parking in the lot if you're lucky. If not, you can find free street parking.“

“Super amazing marinated short rib, even my friend who doesn't like meat liked it. If I ever went again that would be the only thing I buy. But it could be very pricey for the quality and quantity (we got course C and an extra order of marinated short rib + two steamed eggs and a japchae)- which is a major con for them vs other kbbqs around town. They did have so many side dishes that it couldn't fit the table!! I was really disappointed they stuffed my party of 6 in such a small table for 4 when the whole restaurant was basically empty at Thursday Lunch. The small table made the experience a bit underwhelming. Food was great though!“

“I work at a plastic surgery clinic where we often have lunch together as a group. With almost 30 people, it can be difficult to decide on a menu each time. However, we recently tried ordering food for all 30 of us from here and we were all pleasantly surprised by how perfect everything was. Personally, I absolutely loved the Yuja chicken and the addition of Korean Kimchi on the side was just perfect. The fries were incredibly crunchy and fresh as well.Another dish that stood out was the pesto with fried tofu our doctors were really into it! In fact, we have already ordered food from here more than three times. I highly recommend it!Lastly, I want to mention how clean and unique their to go boxes are. It truly made me happy.“

“After seeing some vids about how great the mul naeng myun is here, I had to come try with my family. My sister and I got the mul naeng myun and my grandma got the sagol dduk mandu guk (ox bone soup with rice cake and dumplings). The broth of the naeng myun was clear and crisp, but a little bland, I had to put in a lot of the mustard paste and vinegar to increase the flavor. Overall, I liked the thinness and texture of the noodles, but the flavor of the soup was nothing too out of the ordinary. The banchan though... deserves a standing ovation. The side dishes were fresh, well seasoned, and Korean grandma approved. I think I preferred my grandma's rice cake soup to my naeng myun, but I would be willing to come back and try their other dishes. We got a pajeon (chive pancake) on the side as well, which was crispy and came with a lovely soy sauce on the side. The waitresses were also very attentive and kind. The restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in for a late lunch on a weekday. Overall a great experience :)“

“This restaurant opens 24 hours, serving superb beef soups and grilled ribs in hot plates. Many orders the ribs with flaming cheese on top - they are good but the flavoring is a bit strong for my taste. What I really love are their soups and banchans. My son likes the spicy red soup with ribs dried cabbages; my husband likes the short ribs soup and my favorite is the soup with combination meats. The banchans are great, - we especially like the one with chives, which I have only had at the Western location. The Napa cabbage kimchi is also excellent. I also found out during my most recent Visit that the western store has a breakfast special from 6 to 10:30, small soup - perfect size really - that delivers the same satisfaction but friendlier to the budget. Private parking lot with valet during meal time but easy to find parking outside meal time. A restaurant I will come back again and again!“

“I go to pigya at least once or twice a month. The food is good. When it was newer restaurant, they would be attentive and nice. The filipina server who used to work there was friendly. But lately have noticed service is not so good. They were rushed. Connie works wells in managing the restaurant but needs to work on customer service. She is not a good server. We asked Connie for no onion to be bought out with the meat and she ignored the request this last time. ANOTHER server was doing everything in a hurry and rushed. They usually cook the veggies and put it on top, this guy just let the meat and veggies(mushrooms and sweet potato) get cooked more than usual. They blow torch the rice but the guy left it on the grill went to do something else and then came back to melt the cheese when rice was getting harder.“

“The table was dirty when we first got the seats… and I expected a good quality of the meat but it wasn’t..and my dishes came out really late, i can tell they unfroze the meat in the oven.. and the ban can was so salty…i know it’s cheaper compared to other Korean restaurants, but I would rather pay more and get better “

“Came here on a Saturday night and it wasn't too packed. We got seated and were served water, kimchi and some pickled cabbage dish. I wanted to order something with a little kick to it, so I tried the Knife cut noodle in spicy chicken broth. I thought it was good, however it wasn't really spicy. Felt like it lacked just a bit of flavor in it. The overall place was clean and brightly lit up. Customer service was great. Would probably come back to give something else a try on the menu.“

“One of the best surprises we have had in a while this restaurant really delivered in all levels. Great vibe, good service, and really unique and tasty food. We tried several things and the only thing that didn’t work for us was the stuffed chicken wings, we were not a fan of the chewy skin. Unfortunately that was the only dish we remembered to photo. “This is still my favorite place for cold noodle. I have been at this restaurant for at least 20 years now. It still tastes the same. I always order cold noodle and bulgogi. I love this place. Parking is hard to find when it gets crowded. So be aware.“

“First time coming here, good food and great service. My mom could be a bit of a Karen but the cashier was so nice, patient and answered all my moms questions. I didn't get his name but he was the cashier with black glasses. The food was very good and he make great recommendations. 10/10 experience The pictures look a bit of a mess but that's cause we tore it up fast. “Seoul Soul is a good KBBQ option with good quality. They have 3 menus and I would say upgrading to the middle level is definitely worth it. There’s a lot to choose from: beef, chicken, pork, seafood, etc. they have all sorts of cuts too. Their meat is pretty marbled and tender. If you can’t cook, the server can handle it. They also have a parking lot in the back but it gets full fast.Parking: They have a very small parking lot“

“#Best bossam and delicious Korean food in LAAmong Korean foods in LA, one of the foods that is hard to find is pig's feet and bossam. Gobau House here is the place that conquered LA Korean food with just bossam. It is a long-running restaurant that has been around for over 30 years where you can enjoy not only bossam but also a variety of delicious menu items such as seafood and green onion pancakes, kimchi pancakes, tray buckwheat noodles, cheonggukjang, and soybean paste stew.I've been a regular here since I first settled in LA in 2007, and it still has a great reputation.#atmosphereAlthough it has a slightly dark atmosphere, it is always full of customers and there are many servers to handle the large number of customers, making it a lively and noisy place. Looking at the customers, many of them come for family meals and many come for gatherings. This is a place where you can feel the quality of the food and its abundance.#side dishThe side dishes here are really delicious. When you're in the United States, the importance of side dishes and how much you crave them are amplified... but when you come here, that thirst is quenched. The slightly spicy soybean paste was especially delicious, and both the kimchi and seasoned vegetables were satisfactory.#BossamFirst of all, the visuals of bossam are rich.Assorted Bossam comes with boiled pork, jokpyeonchae, and steamed skate, but the portion is so huge that I have never been able to order one yet.Instead, in the case of regular bossam, pickled cabbage, pickled cabbage, pickled pickled radish, salted shrimp, seasoned dried radish, and pickled jalapenos are provided along with the bossam. The pride of this restaurant is pork that is gently boiled without any odor. The lightness of pork was well preserved without the use of herbal medicine. Here, my favorite conditioner is <Jeot Shrimp>. Instead of salted shrimp with a lot of water, it is a good idea to remove the water from the shrimp and add seasoning to the shrimp, which captures both the flavor and texture of the shrimp. Pickled jalapenos are a godsend, perhaps a last resort solution that takes advantage of American characteristics. Jalapenos provide a sweet and spicy flavor that goes well with bossam.#cheonggukjangCheonggukjang is especially difficult to cook at home in the U.S., but I always order Cheonggukjang when I come here. It used to be really delicious, but after returning from living in Korea, the soybean paste-like and sweet taste felt a little awkward. But it still tastes good. You can enjoy Cheonggukjang in a variety of options as they provide a spoonful of vegetables to mix with the rice.#ribPlease grill Korean-style ribs, not LA ribs. The seasoning is just right, the grilling is good, and the ribs are above average.Of course, it is much more delicious than BXX soft tofu.#Kimchi pancakeIt's not sophisticated, but it tastes like it was baked at home. It's a shame that it's a little oily, but the taste of jangtteok with red pepper paste and the freshness of kimchi are in perfect harmony.Overall, it is the best Korean restaurant that is not inferior to Korean food, but it feels even more upgraded with American characteristics. When you miss Korean food, you won’t regret going to Gobau House!!Super highly recommended!“

“low-key authentic Korean restaurant. The ahjumma was so nice to us!Food is great:banchan (side dishes) - lots of variety! I liked the seaweed, fish cake, kimchi radish, and bean sprouts.Specials #13 seafood pancake $19.99 - Good. Not overloaded with green onions. The sauce that came with it could have been saltier.Specials #9 chicken stew $25.99 - spicy! Chicken was cooked well. Lots of potatoes. The small bones are annoying.#22 stone pot bibimbap $14.99 - tasty. The ahjumma brought out a bowl of gochujang filled to the top. It was good and not too sweet.#9 chewy spicy noodles $13.99 - delicious. I'd get this again. Came with a soft boiled egg.Specials #12 stir-fried squid $24.99 - I'd get this again too. The rice cake was eh, but the squid was good. Not too spicy.Prices are a bit high, but so is everywhere else right now. The menu is extensive but has some solid favorites. They have a small parking lot in this plaza, so it wasn't hard to find at 7 PM on a week night. Typical of a local Korean joint, they post menu items with prices on the walls. Even better - they have pictures of the food!“
