“This place is excellent. Every dish we tried was good, but the standouts for me were the clam toast and crispy potatoes. The bread for the toast was perfect and the potatoes were just the right amount of fluffiness on the inside and crispy outside. My mouth is watering just writing this. The trout was worth getting as well. I will definitely be back to try more dishes.“

“The asparagus fries. Crispy & not greasy. You can appreciate the asparagus flavor. We split the Thai spicy salad. It was spicy, but the Thai basil & the peanut dressing were the stars. It didn't need the chicken. The best was the ribeye melt. The meat was cooked perfectly.The sourdough was crusted with parmesan. With a side of horseradish that was perfectly paired for this sandwich.“

“I recently dined at a sushi restaurant in Pasadena. It's conveniently located close to public parking, which was a plus. The sashimi combo was excellent, and the side dishes complemented the meal perfectly. Overall, it was a great dining experience.“

I give Judy and the kitchen high marks for being able to serve fresh and delicious food. Situated at the heart of beautiful Old Town Pasadena, Fishwives is a solid spot if you're looking for variety and a bit of a change from your usual American greasy food.Their ceviche is outstanding and so fresh; the fried oysters on devilled eggs were incredibly flavourful and cooked to perfection - with the right amount of crunch; the lobster roll was scrumptious with chunks of lobster meat in every bite; and their fish and chips were outstanding - featured a great crispy batter paired with their excellent fries. Everything that we ordered was great plus service was spot-on!Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for seafood in the Pasadena area.“

“We went for the Tomahawk Tuesday special, a great deal. We had the sliced Porterhouse (filet plus bone-in NY strip). They were out of the bone-in so offered us a regular NY strip instead, which was fine. It was cooked to perfection. Our waiter Chris was attentive, friendly, and funny. Our cocktails (Old Fashioneds and a PCH Vesper) were wonderfully mixed. It's unfortunate that they don't have any beer on tap for people who can't drink or don't like wine, although they have a small selection of bottles. It was a bit noisy at first and I had trouble hearing our waiter, but that's because it was a busy night. As it got later and the crowd thinned it was quieter. Salads, sides, and desserts were very good. This was our second time and we will come back again.“

“If you want a Peruvian food experience, dine at Bodegon No 69 In Old Town Pasadena. We were able to dine indoors without a reservation (short wait). We were seated in their private dining area as tables indoors were full. For starters, we got the jalea mixta and empanadas (beef and chicken). If you like deep fried seafood, get the jalea mixta. Their empanadas was crispy, stuffed with fillings of choice. For ceviches, get the ceviche B69, which includes a variety of seafood. For entrees, I recommend the arroz con mariscos (seafood paella) and lomo saltado. Both are popular dishes and very flavorful. They give a generous amount of seafood. Drinks were okay, I wasn't impressed with the presentation or taste. Service was friendly. Just took long for food to come out in between meals. Overall, lively atmosphere and authentic Peruvian food!“

“Pasadena and downtown this last fortnight. Nostagic deliciousness @parkwaygrill, peerless steaks. Returning there for the fourth time - our first visit was in 1994. Last night we enjoyed @majordomola . Koreanish food, at it's best generous and full flavoured. Standouts include the pork shoulder, duck confit rice and the flambe(d) doughnuts.Next time we'll try their signature rib dish too. Take an appetite and lots of family. Also loved Houstons. “Decided to give it a try today since it was on my route home. Ordered the farmer style pork and green pepper. It's not the usual fatty pork you'd get from other chinese food places, but it's delicious either way. Less fatty, but still full of flavor. Portion is what you paid for. Spicy level is true to what spicy is all about. Will come again to try their mapo tofu and kungfu boiled beef since from this simple dish alone it does look promising.“

“The service was great. I was shocked that actually Lamb chops were not on the menu. I did not like that it was so dark. I could barely read the menu. I also didn't like that everything was a la carte. They did have chops, on menu of the night. They were pretty good. Def worth the $55. And the sides were good. I had mac, Brussels & mash. All good. We also had a chocolate soufle. It was soo silky & smooth. Definitely worth saving space. I did like the flowers outside & I also recommend a reservation b/c they seem to be pretty popular. Dinner for 3 was $350.“

“Typically love outdoor dining but we made dinner reservations a week in advance and arrived on time, and we were still placed outside in the tent even asking for an indoor seat. There were at least 4/5 tables empty that we could see that could seat our party of 5 but we were denied those seats and said we would have to wait 45min for those tables. Since we had little kids and we're celebrating a birthday, we didn't want to take too long. So we were stuck outside in the rain and cold (they had space heaters but unfortunately our table was not under one so we ate in our heavy coats/jackets) After dinner we skipped the desserts bc we were too cold and uncomfortable to stay around any longer.“

“Star Leaf is a new Asian (Thai) fusion restaurant in Pasadena, California. The restaurant is nicely design with comfortable seating. I visited them on a Thursday evening. The hostess was friendly. Tonia, the waitress had a warm smile and very attentive. I started with a Lychee Martini which was ok. The cocktail Kamata Club Blue had a very nice presentation. The Wild Salmon in Thai Vinaigrette was a refreshing appetizer. I also had the Thai Royal Curry with Soft Shell Crabs and Madame Noi’s Pork Collar. For dessert, I finished with Tropical Panna Cotta Coconut Bowl. I enjoyed the dinner. I have one more good restaurant on my dining list.“

“We've dined here many times and of course, I already knew this restaurant was a five-star restaurant because the food has been fresh and made to order and always came out great and tasty; but today, my five stars goes to John and his team for such excellent service, very accommodating and being patient with us and not rushing us, because we were their last customers to dine. “This was the perfect pit stop at mine and hubs' date night. We were really going to the Ice House but dipped in here for a quick foodie / drinkie "pre-game." I believe this is family owned and service was every bit like being at your friend's moms house for all the attentiveness. I had a taco de birria and it was deelish!! The consommé was savory but not overpoweringly so. Hubs had a chicken soft taco that looked good. Chips and salsa were tasty and beer was cold!“

“Apparently the spot in Pasadena!! I was meeting up with some clients for work at Caltech, and they recommended this spot on the corner. It was just a few blocks away from campus, and seemed to be pretty popular with students on a given weekday. Inside, our server got us to our tables and welcomed us with water and miso soup. She was super friendly and gave us plenty of time to order :). I went with the katsu lunch combo, which also came with california rolls, and mac salad. It tasted great, with the katsu being very crunchy and the mac salad being the perfect complement to the meal. I thought the California rolls were great too!“

“As someone from Osaka, I can confirm this is a Japanese restaurant with home style dishes and legit kushikatsu (of which is a bit lighter due to less batter and more panko crusted instead). We went on Valentine's Day for a special meal and it was packed. Service may be a bit more relaxed than one may be used to, so please be patient and enjoy the thoughtful hospitality and cuisine. Their unagi yanagawa (simmered eel with strips of burdock root covered in egg) was very comforting and tasty. Thank you for the delightful and memorable meal.“

“This restaurant has the BEST fish tacos ! They are very lightly breaded with lots of fish! They are freshly made so you wait a little. The Aguachile was delicious! The location is great because it's upstairs with a view towards Colorado Blvd. There is convenient parking in the back. The prices are very reasonable and they have tacos at half price on Tuesdays!! we just found this place and have been there three times already in two weeks! Love this place! “my husband and i love ordering delivery from y&j gourmet! we’ve never had a dish we didn’t like, and the service has always been friendly and prompt. ordering y&j on nye has become a tradition and we always order a tonne of food so we have leftovers for days. highly recommend the spicy eggplant and spicy chicken wontons! they also have monthly specials if you subscribe to their emails. thanks for another delicious nye meal, y&j!Vegetarian options: there are lots of vegetable dishes as well as noodle and rice dishes that can be made to be vegetarian. can’t confirm if all sauces used are veg, so you should double check!“

“I just had the BEST fast food meal I have ever eaten. Please don't tell anybody about this, I don't want these nice folks to be overwhelmed because of this review. Generally we get fried chicken and my wife did again last night. I went out on a limb and tried the Louisiana Gumbo, it was AMAZING, so tasty, huge shrimp, lots of sausage and chicken. I ate almost the whole quart serving by myself. It comes with rice and was just outstanding. I urge you to give it a try.“
