“A beautiful date night spot where you can sit beneath string lights nestled in an alleyway, listening to live music (plus, they have outdoor heaters!). Plates are tapas style and the bar is full, with an advantage for mezcal enthusiasts. Bonus- The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They recommended some drinks for us to try and gave us some suggestions on the entrees. The drinks were great and we recommend the sea bass! Nice atmosphere with good service and lots of mezcal.“

“Great atmosphere, definitely a nice date place. The service was great and friendly. I didn’t have a reservation but they were able to give me a seat at the bar. I ordered the onion soup and beef tartare. Supposedly onion soup is their signature dish, but it was really salty, I was a bit disappointed…. Because it was a $20 bowl of soup. The beef tartare was excellent, it would be nice if they offer one extra slice of bread and some more salad leaves. I was happy that they have half bottle of wine that I can order. Wine list is quite nice.“

“The food is so good, no excellent!! The service is so great. The restaurant is not fancy, but simple, clean, bright and pleasant. The hummus is so good. The combo skewers is so great. Greek salad is yummy. It's $12.99, but can feed 3-4 people easily if you're getting another entree. The ground meat kebab is yummy. The beef is so good! I forgot to take pictures because I was so excited to eat. I took a picture of my leftovers at home.“

“Had to stop by my favorite Italian grubbin in the heart of Old Town Pasadena all the way from Boise. This was my 3rd time and each time just keeps getting better; definitely the bigger the party, the better. We paid $225 for 4 pasta entrees, 3 appetizers, & 2 glasses of wine for a party of 6. I’ve learned to like my pastas al dente after having them here. The meatballs are banging, the wine-pairing was delightful. Our service was attentive and pleasant; the vibe is always vibrant and homey. Highly recommended.“

“Interior is small but parking is decent, and I think the food is hit or miss depending on what you order. But for the most part the fried chicken katsu is a good option; the bone in fried chicken that others seem to like was a little dry for me. There is a catering menu and seemingly they are a good option for gatherings. The owners work here and are very sweet Asian couple. They will always smile and engage in conversation with you. Top Restaurant has been in business for a long time so they are doing lots of things right!“

EDDIE the Manager slash Owner (Im assuming lol) is Such a Great and Pure Hearted Man of God. A Great Leader. With the most Positive, Welcoming, engaging, Kind Attitude to All the customers. I saw him delegating Tasks to his Employees and hes very well Respected. His ELEGANCE in professionalism and the attention to Detail is Exceptional. “The asparagus fries. Crispy & not greasy. You can appreciate the asparagus flavor. We split the Thai spicy salad. It was spicy, but the Thai basil & the peanut dressing were the stars. It didn't need the chicken. The best was the ribeye melt. The meat was cooked perfectly.The sourdough was crusted with parmesan. With a side of horseradish that was perfectly paired for this sandwich.“

“My girlfriend and I went to our second Valentine's dinner here last week. Not many places can pull off Valentines Day like Bistro 45 does. Everything came out timely and up to their usual standards. “We had some delicious shawarma platters! The number of combinations you can make with the sides and upgrade to the fattoush salad is great. We had one chicken shawarma platter with rice, babaganoush, and labneh and one chicken shawarma platter with fattoush salad, garlic paste, and pita chips. All of it was very tasty. The garlic Toum was particularly good, as was the fattoush salad. Each platter comes with two thin pitas (the best kind). The shawarma was a more stewed chicken with onions and tomatoes than the usual kind of dry shredded off the skewer but it was so flavorful! Maybe best not to get it on rice because the ice absorbs all the liquid. We also got a cilantro jalapeno hummus that had a tiny bit of a kick. Everything was good, and the people were very friendly. We will have to come back to try more things!“

“Our waitress, Judy, was lovely and attentive. She promised me the chef would take care of my two food restrictions creatively, and she was right!! I give Judy and the kitchen high marks for being able to serve fresh and delicious food. We were celebrating my husband‘s birthday and I was prepared to make concessions, but my meal was just as special as his.  Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will be back!!“

“First time trying hot pot. The server was super nice and took thier time to explain the menu and how to order. You can choose 2 diffrent broths with spice levels.or just one pot. Then you add meat and veggies. They have a sauce bar which was fun to creat mix or just choose from there.“

“Malbec was recommended to me by a good friend, and it is now my favorite steakhouse. Not necessarily that they make the best steak ever (9 out of 10), no, it's because almost everything on the menu is delicious. Tons of flavor and cooked to perfection. Been there 3 times and each time was just as perfect as the last. The consistency is terrific and the environment is awesome.“

“Had a great meal here. I have gluten allergy and was worried they didn’t have anything gluten-free because the menu online didn’t mention it. However, I called and the person I spoke to was amazing and knowledgeable about the options. There were not tons but enough that there were things I could eat. I had the Bento box and they were able to adjust it so everything was GF. That did come with a hefty surcharge but it’s worth it to me to know it’s all safe to eat. Sashimi is also an option however nigiri and rolls are not because there is soy in the rice.I’ve knocked down my review because there are plenty of Japanese restaurants that fully accommodate gluten allergies and I’ve been told by chefs and owners that at this point it’s not hard to do.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options but next extensive. The nigiri and rolls are not GF as there is soy in the rice (as of the time of my review)“

“We love coming to this place for a Thai cuisine! I would say the service rates three out of five since they are so busy, and take quite a while to get you seated. However it's doesn't come as a surprise, the food is amazing. Typically always pair my curry or the pad sew with one of there Thai iced tea. Overall, this is the best Thai spot in Rosemead area. Atmosphere is cozy but definitely on the loud side your looking for a romantic spot this wouldn't be it. You“

“Food five stars, service five stars...The food is good, I like spicy but they have a good balance of flavor that made the extra spice I usually like unnecessary, the portions are generous. I don't really like mole but after trying some of their mole, I don't think I can continue saying that. The restaurant is cozy, clean and has good/attentive staff. Our server was Rene and he is courteous and attentive, next time I will try their desserts I just wasn't ready for their portions and got full / was left with no room for dessert. The four stars on the atmosphere section is only because, for me to truly judge a restaurant's atmosphere you need to experience it during its busy time when it's buzzing with people and all the staff is present. I love that it is cozy, it is and feels like an authentic family restaurant. I don't like taking pictures of my food as it gets in the way of fully being present and enjoying the experience so go see it and taste it for yourselves. I recommend it.“

“There is not very much seating in the inside and it's a very small space. Luckily it was a nice day outside, so we ate there. The Lulu plate was very good. Great seasoned beef matched perfectly with the rice. The chicken gyro was just okay. I like having tzatziki sauce in the gyro and it was not present. Instead, they make theirs with a sauce similar to mayonnaise, so I don't recommend that unless you prefer a more mayo flavor. Overall, good service and sizeable portions.“

“I had a list of 10 Mediterranean places to go to lunch with my friend in Pasadena and I am glad I narrowed it down to this one. Now, I was a little weary about the food coming out as soon as we were paying BUT the food was pretty amazing. This just tells me that they are super efficient during lunchtime on a Saturday! The food was very flavorable and they have the best garlic spread I have ever eaten in my entire life! We will definitely be back! Not pictured here but don't miss out on the tzatziki either!“

“Pasadena and downtown this last fortnight. Nostagic deliciousness @parkwaygrill, peerless steaks. Returning there for the fourth time - our first visit was in 1994. Last night we enjoyed @majordomola . Koreanish food, at it's best generous and full flavoured. Standouts include the pork shoulder, duck confit rice and the flambe(d) doughnuts.Next time we'll try their signature rib dish too. Take an appetite and lots of family. Also loved Houstons. “Very surprised by the quality. Ordered the ground chicken kebab (koobideh) and the white meat chicken kebab. The flavor and quality was great. Getting chicken Koobideh to be flavorful is an uphill battle since it’s just ground chicken. This was beautifully seasoned, charred and juicy. Generous portions of beautifully cooked rice with salad and grilled vegetables and pita bread round it all out for a very competitive price in this inflation age. I wish there was an M Grill closer to where I live in Joshua Tree.“

“Delicious happy hour - the short rib tacos were delicious and the sliders were very solid. The alien pool party cocktails (not on the happy hour menu) are so stellar. Other good dishes include the dynamite tater tots and the Burrata and tomato salad.“

“We went for the Tomahawk Tuesday special, a great deal. We had the sliced Porterhouse (filet plus bone-in NY strip). They were out of the bone-in so offered us a regular NY strip instead, which was fine. It was cooked to perfection. Our waiter Chris was attentive, friendly, and funny. Our cocktails (Old Fashioneds and a PCH Vesper) were wonderfully mixed. It's unfortunate that they don't have any beer on tap for people who can't drink or don't like wine, although they have a small selection of bottles. It was a bit noisy at first and I had trouble hearing our waiter, but that's because it was a busy night. As it got later and the crowd thinned it was quieter. Salads, sides, and desserts were very good. This was our second time and we will come back again.“

“I have lived 5 minutes away from this ramen shop since mid-2022. And it wasn't until an idyllic PTO-fueled Monday afternoon that I bothered to check this place out. In my 5 years living in SoCal, I've tried countless ramen shops and they all were great and stand out in one way or another. I've baptized ramen as “The only soup worth eating” and this shop further proves the veracity, authenticity and validity of that statement. The broth is rich, the pork chasu is cooked to perfection, the thin noodles have the right amount of chew and the gyoza is flavorful. Nothing that you could not find at any other competent ramen shop, such as Hiro Nori, but this is located at the heart of Old Pasadena, the locale gives it a boost from 4 stars to 5 stars. I do wish they also offered Tsukemen, though.“

“Granville was one of the first restaurants I've eaten at since movigto Pasadena 2 years ago. Each time I've gone, the service is always attentive and welcoming.The atmosphere is very trendy and I really do love the open layout overall. The food and drinks have always been a hit for me, I've tried almost everything on their menu and I haven't been disappointed. My go to cocktail is the cu cucumber martini, which is very refreshing! Definitely check them out if you're in the area. Very good for a date night or a group hang.“

Not as flavorful as I thought it'd be but fun to try. Su beoreg: some kinda cheese pastry. It was cheesy and delicious Salmon sandwich: big portion and a healthy choice garlic cream soup: not too garlicky. But I loved the little dumplings that came with soup.“

“The sushi here is seriously awesome. It's prepared right in front of you if you sit at the bar/counter, and the taste, and smell is to die for. This is one of my absolute favorite sushi places in the area. Everyone is very warm and friendly, and welcoming. It has a cozy feel to it. Trust me, it will be worth your time!“

I (and my kids) always waste so much food (and spend sooo much more money) at the traditional hot pot places you cook the food yourself. “When thinking of soup in the Pasadena area we have our favorite places. Last Friday evening we tried this fairly new Ramen place that has been open about two years. When walking in we were greeted and seated quickly. The place was not so busy for a Friday evening but later more customers did arrive which is a good sign. We were seated and the menu was simple and prices were in the range of other soup restaurants in the area. We got our water and tea quickly and the servers kept our water glasses full. Very attentive staff. My wife ordered the gyoza and the Tonkatsu ramen and I had the Shoyu Ramen. Food was delicious and if you don't like your food too salty, get the more creamier Tonkatsu Ramen. My Shoyu ramen had spinach which was surprisingly delicious.The food portions looked small but once we started eating they were very hearty portions. I was not able to finish my noodles.We will definitely be back as they also have Mazesoba here which is dry noodles with egg. Can't wait to try these dishes.“
