“Outrageously delicious food and drinks. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the creme brulee in a mug was surprisingly delicious, and the cocktails were perfectly balanced. We had the equivalent of a ham sandwich appetizer that was actually the best ham sandwich I have ever had. I don't know how to explain it.“

“We LOVE the pre-theater dinner package! Calamari was the best I have EVER had, the chicken parmigiana was HUGE and extremely tasty, and cheesecake dessert was delectable! My friend was disappointed, however, that they no longer offer the filet mignon in the package. Whenever we have a show (and we have many) in the neighborhood, Empire is our first choice for dining. We'll be back!“

“We noticed the queue outside and got curious. After a few minutes they give us a table. Both the venue and the environment are very beautiful. The staff welcomes us and brings us drinks. A nice and smiling gentleman arrives to explain to us that for 45 dollars each they will bring us a steak (EXCELLENT), and then we will have plenty of chips and salad. The food arrives with our requests fully satisfied. Friendly staff and price appropriate to the quality of the food. When I return to New York I will definitely go there“

“The food, ambience, and service was A+. Our server Marquis was knowledgeable of the food and solicited tips on what to pair with what. I had the beef short ribs, and the meat was tender. The main lobster linguine was chefs kisses. Would definitely visit again next time I’m in town.“

“I celebrated my 60th birthday last night at Rocco's and what an amazing treat! From the restaurant manager who doesn't miss a single detail to the gentlemen servers who are all professionals with glowing personalities. We were provided with a dessert on the house so they could put a candle in it and sing to me. It was like listening to a well-trained Italian Quartet. The food was beyond reproach as were the drinks. I cannot wait to visit Rocco's again and would recommend to anyone in the area. The decor is wonderful and the attention from Vinny and his wonderful sense of humor only added to our wonderful evening.“

“I went to the grill with my fiancé and friends after he proposed to celebrate. It's truly an elevated dining experience that makes the night special. The women's restroom has a lounge with beautiful vanity mirrors. The pasta a la presse was a highlight of the night because it was delicious but also because it was prepared table side with an explanation of its origin. The bread for the table had a lot of variety and was delicious. For my entree I had the lobster which was beautiful and tasted divine. The baked Alaska is a must for dessert since it's set ablaze at the table! If you're having trouble making a reservation we were able to secure ours with the Dorsa app.“

“In a world of declining service, The Capital Grille shines ever brighter with an experience more outstanding than usual! My meal was timed perfectly, and I was checked in on regularly by my server and the staff. I ended up dining by myself but never felt alone. Kristina provided exceptional service and was even kind enough to notice I was wearing black pants, and looked for a black napkin so there wouldn't be any transfer from the white napkin. Although there weren't any, I appreciated the attention to detail. Thank you so much for another wonderful dining experience. 5 stars!!!“

“My first time coming to Harry's was tonight and wow, did I make the right decision. I sat at the bar but the vibe of the restaurant was super classy yet upbeat. The bartenders were super friendly and attentive. I ordered the half dozen oysters and flank steak which may have been the best I've ever had. This place is a must visit!“

“I've eaten at the downtown Strip House many times over the years, but hadn't been back for a good 10 years due to life, COVID and what not. Finally had chance to go back and was happy to experience the same amazing strip steak that is the Strip House. Perfectly cooked medium rare with an amazing char and that black pepper bite. There are many excellent steakhouses and types of steaks that you can have everywhere, but the Strip House and their strip steak is one of a kind that you need to try at least once. If it's not to your taste, so be it, but for me, it's a wonderful steak that's a nice contrast to the different steak experiences at Lugers, Wolfgang's or the like.“

“The food was the best. I have never had anything like this in my life and it's truly amazing. The steak melts in your mouth and it filled my stomach with joy. And the desserts where do I even start everything was masterfully crafted and made with love. You can tell that the chefs really care about every dish that they make and take pride in it too. Also the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Also the vibe was really cool we are in these barrels which had a nice atmosphere and further played into the overall experience of this steakhouse.“

“We had the best experience at Bobby Van's! Our waiter, Paul, made our meal so memorable by offering outstanding menu suggestions, being incredibly attentive despite a packed restaurant, and keeping us entertained with his delightful personality. The meal was spot on: great wine, oysters on the half shell (incredible), Caesar salad, the porterhouse for two (wow!), sautéed mushrooms, cheesecake and after dinner drinks to top it off. We will definitely be back!“

“My daughter and I came here as a splurge while visiting the city. The staff was excellent, from the hostess to our wait staff and the gentleman I assume was the manager and/or owner. All were attentive without feeling rushed, which made the experience even better. The calamari appetizer was crisp and hot. Our filet mignons were melt in you mouth perfection and the German potatoes were incredibly delicious. The only ding I have was there was a party of 8-10 gentleman celebrating a birthday. They had quite a bit of food and drink and were pretty loud as the dinner wore on. We felt that we were in their conversation even though we were on the other side of the room. I wish they had their own private space to celebrate. Regardless, it was a delicious dinner and we would definitely return.“

“Very classy interior, old fashioned atmosphere. A bit more expensive than I would be comfortable with. Appetizers and main course were amazing. I had tuna tartare and Jumbo Shrimp Scampi, my husband had New York Strip Steak. It was so good, so delicious!And we decided to order some deserts. It was a mistake though! My Apple Strudel was absolutely different from what I had expected. My husband had a Lemon Sorbet, which had not any test at all and was too icy, it had not a smoothie texture at all. So we had been really disappointed with desert.“

“I went to Benjamin Prime in 2018, and it was spectacular. This visit was even better as far as service and the Porterhouse for Three was cooked to absolute perfection. The presentation was amazing, and my dad who has never eaten at either Benjamin Steakhouse or Benjamin Prime agreed that this was easily the best steak he's ever had.“

“It had been many years since I had been to BLT PRIME but it had lost none of its excellence in either the food, ambiance or service categories. My son and I occupied a nice roomy corner booth and enjoyed a delicious Porterhouse steak along with the delicious POPOVERS (large and scrumptious ) , preceded by super appetizers. Desserts were super as well. My one minor peeve is the absence of MAKERS MARK Bourbon for my pre dinner Manhattan, a surprising omission in a steak place of this caliber, but the Woodstock replacement proved to be a decent alternative. Overall, a superb evening of dining on all counts. I will be back in the near future.“

“I didn’t want the expensive price, like Keens and Johnnie’s, but still a good quality steak. I was able find Westside Steakhouse on trip adviser. Good quality steaks with out breaking the bank. I ordered a NY steak medium, it was cooked perfectly and I added crumble blue cheese for perfection. The mushroom risotto was moist and delicious. My son said that there Mac n Cheese one of the best he has eaten. The ambiance is great and the staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely would recommend this restaurant!“

“We visited as a family with 3 kids aged 7 to 13 to celebrate a birthday. The food was outstanding and would rate as one of the best steaks we have ever had the pleasure of trying. Our sitting was at 12:30 on a Friday and found that the venue wasnt that busy which made it rather quiet and didnt add to ambiance but not a major deal for us. The views out to Central Park make this location a great pick for a high quality dining experience with amazing views.“

“Fantastic Night at American Cut (Especially the Service!) I had an incredible return visit to American Cut! Everything was on point this evening. The star of the show was our waiter, Russ. He provided fantastic recommendations for both cocktails and wine pairings. We also indulged in some phenomenal appetizers, with the smoked wagyu and steak tartar being true standouts. Our entrees were equally impressive, particularly the porterhouse, tomahawk, wagyu, and the decadent mac and cheese. Even though my guests and I trekked down from uptown, the experience was absolutely worth it. The entire evening was amazing, and a big shoutout goes to the manager, Joey. The ambiance was also perfect for a client dinner or night out with great friends. Finally, major kudos to Adona, the hostess, who always greets us with warmth and exceptional hospitality - a true lifesaver after a long day.“

“After visiting The Palm at Atlantic City my husband and I fell in love with this place we knew we definitely wanted to come back. On a date night we stumbled upon one right here in midtown the excitement of knowing one was right here plans were made to have dinner for our anniversary. On opentable i made reservations and put we were celebrating our anniversary. upon arriving our table had a card i thought maybe it was apart of their welcome and we opened it and we were in aww. The card wished us a congrats and happy anniversary with a cute confetti “happy anniversary’ and was signed. It was the sweetest gesture and it made us smile. Dinner was amazing the food was heavenly just like we imagined it would be. Wine was just right,the Long Island ice tea (top shelf) my husband’s favorite was made nice and strong. At the end of dinner the waiter came out with 2 dishes with candles one with ice cream the other with a delicious strawberry cheesecake and said Happy Anniversary to you both we both smiled looked at each other then at the waiter and said thank you so much not only for being an awesome waiter but for making our dinner anniversary special. We didn’t expect the card or the desserts it truly made our night. Dinner at an amazing restaurant and a spa night to top it off you can’t go wrong. Thank you again to The Palm at midtown manhattan for a wonderful experience and a beautiful evening. Your restaurant will always be our favorite and by far one of our top priority destinations.“

“Looking for an incredible steakhouse? Stop right here and get yourself over to Strip House. The steaks were absolutely perfect and easily one of the best steakhouses out there.They start you off with these warm, soft pretzel rolls with the softest butter that melts in your mouth. Hard to resist not ordering more.I ordered the filet mignon au poivre and they nailed it. I love the charred salt and pepper seasoning on top and combined with the sauce, it was outstanding.Do NOT skip out on the sides. There are sooo many to choose from and they’re all so delicious. Number one is the whipped potato puree, which is so perfectly buttery. Also get the Mac and cheese and the black truffle creamed spinach.Finally, we ended the night with their classic 24 layer chocolate cake. We split one slice with 4 people and we were STUFFED.Can’t wait to come back here for more!!“

“Surprising little local steak house find, near the Garden. Despite concert event, it was not overrun and crazy. Easy 2 block walk. Staff were fun and engaging, food was very good, so were drink and wine. Will definitely be going back next time we are at Garden for an event.“

“My experience was wonderful from start to finish. I was greeted warmly by Egypt and had wonderful time at the bar with Melissa. The conversation was warm and lively and her bartending skills are some of the best in the city. Melissa is an absolute asset to the team. (I should mention that Jonathan was friendly and jovial as well) As for my meal, everything was outstanding and our server, Caitlyn, was aces. Based on this visit alone, it's easy to see why Capital Grille is one of the jewels in our neighborhood. I look forward to my next visit.“

“The chase: Excellent old-school cozy neighborhood chop house, with red leather booths and a classic bar that serves artfully mixed classic cocktails. Donohue's is a portal to the past, a comfortable neighborhood joint, what used to be called a red booth steak and chop house. Though I had not been here in over 20 years (has it really been that long?), Donohue's has always been my touchstone for the classic red booth atmosphere and cuisine. "The Daily Grill" chain scratched this itch from time to time, as did Beverly Hill's "Grill in the Alley," but last night I decided to go crosstown and go back to the mothership. Though it is true that one cannot go back home again, one can certainly go back to the same neighborhood. The drinks were exemplars of the archetype. My beautiful dining companion had a gin martini (not a fake vodka version), and I had a Manhattan (made with bourbon, not rye... yeah, I'm a hypocrite); both drinks were beyond excellent, dare I say sublime? These are not heavy pours, they are balanced and not overpowering, allowing your tastebuds to do their work. We eschewed appetizers. I had the London Broil. My companion the hamburger. The hamburger with cheese (American) -- excellent! Ordered medium, each bite was better than the last. Even the bun was great. The london broil: it was London Broil, the poor man's cut, what used to be served as the steak at IHOP (it's true). The mushroom gravy was a bit heavy handed, but you get what you order and it was a good example of the presentation and serving of such a dish. The creamed spinach was excellent and did not rely on bacon bits to do any of the lifting. Service was friendly and appropriately non-intrusive. The bar still had the Christmas lights up in mis February... which I love. I think dark bars need to have Christmas lights up all year. The snowmen in the window... the jury is out. The not so great: The bread was below par, the quality of a pedestrian soft-crusted store-bought baguette. The butter, however, was a good temperature for spreading without being melted. That said, I was hoping for a grilled sourdough. The baked potato was nice and soft on the inside, but so was the skin and I prefer a crunch thicker skin. The menu is pretty thin and prices are high. You can't go home again, but you can go back to Donohue's to get a solid drink, the burger and the creamed spinach. Maybe the salmon. I'll report back.“

“Classy is how I would rate this restaurant at the end of the theater district on 52nd street.Food was better than I expected it to be in a touristy area. The sides are so big they are shareable for 4 people. Bacon appetizer was nothing special as I compare all steakhouses to Peter Luger.Service by Adam and his team was polished and not rushed.I have to deduct a star for the cramped seating for a table of 2 at the back of the restaurant. In hindsight I would have rather eaten at the bar or the high tops. When you have to move tables for guests to slide in to the booth, remove one. Instead of having a great view of the open kitchen, I faced a wall. Larger tables get private booths or tables in middle of dining roomprice was reasonable considering the area“
