“Love it. I get the V1 or pho at least a couple times a month. Tempura ? shrimp perfectly fried. Light, crispy, not greasy. This family-run restaurant is the best place to dine East of 82nd on Sandy. Clean, pretty, beautifully decorated. Order online food ready within 15 minutes. Great service and welcoming, unlike many other Vietnamese restaurants around town.“

“Amazing place which felt like home to us. I had pho for the first time and it was so yummy. Tracy who served us was so nice and lovely to talk to. She accommodated any requests that we made. Had a soothing bowlOf pho, salad rolls , orange chicken and spring rolls. Do try their lemongrass chilli oil.. yummy and fulfilling. Thanks for making our evening special. Kuddos to Tracy and the happy bamboo.“

“Make sure you find the menu and check what they are selling for the day. They will usually have 2 kinds of noodles they serve with different broth and topping..What brought me here was, I wanted to come here and try the curry chicken vietnamese pho style, but they only serve that on Fri and Sat..They have family restaurants a total of 3 or 4, but only this location open on Monday..When I walked in around 3, they had 2 options of pho. I chose the pho ga which is chicken noodle soup..Pho broth is savory, clean, comforting, and flavorful. My white friends ? doesn't understand why it is good when I told them. So they watched me eat. And then they finally had a sip of the broth they were like wow. It's good chicken broth and my second favorite I have taste. My all time favorite is still in Sacramento ca, pho anh dao for chicken pho..Price was 16.50 for the pho which is high. The quality of the bowl of soup and noodles really made up for it. During the whole trip I needed something comforting, I was missing my soups and asian eats..Overall it was casual restaurant for a lone eating experience. There is a nice parking lot with free parking. Hope this review helps and let me know what you like or I missed out on while in portland. Thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.“

“Two people, 2 entrees, 2 appetizers, might have been a bit ambitious on our part but well worth the over full feeling after. Delicious with a capital D! A nice casual spot with fresh, timely (not too fast not too slow. Just right for a fresh meal) service. We ordered the lemongrass pork lettuce wrap with wavy noodles. It may sound silly but the noodles stole the show. All of it together was so satisfying though. The sweet chili chicken wings were crunchy and super flavorful also. Bun noodle salad with shrimp was gorgeous! And wontons in chili oil was quite decadent. So packed with pork and chive filling and silky smooth. Just spicy enough. Can't wait to overindulge here again!“

“Out of the dozen pho places I've tried in PDX, this one was a surprise for sure. It's hands down my favorite and it's such a small, unassuming spot. The salt and pepper squid is also the best I've ever had. I cannot recommend this place enough“

“5 stars!!!! We Love our Pho! (Thom) means "smells good" And that is a fact! When you walk in the door of this family restaurant you can tell it's different. Jimmy Le is a culinary master. He is a second generation business owner/chef. His pho is the best I have ever had and it's because of their secret family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. We have been friends since Highschool and me and the basketball players would always go to his Mom and Dads pho shop after a basketball game. It's so healing and just makes you feel good like you're giving your body exactly what it needs to repair itself. Jimmy is also a talented artist, as you sit in his small space each piece of pottery, tea cups, bowls, and urban art are so tastefully place and cultivated from local artists. His mission is to build the business of this new pho shop on Alberta and take care of his mom and dad who are reaching retirement. His family honor is incredibly inspiring and I want to support him reach his goal. Everyone has got to come and experience this family's flavor, they really have something special, it's all about high quality food. There is no question it is top tier. Jimmy is a true outlier and everyone please come with your family to taste the flavor of his family's legacy! We will see you soon Jimmy!“

“Only takeout banh mi pork lemongrass. Delicious ingredients and the banh mi bread was soooo tasty and the perfect texture. The lemongrass pork was a bit too sweet but perfectly juicy and flavorful. Will definitely need to try the other menu items. Just wish it opened weekends too.“

“We randomly found this restaurant while running errands and were blown away by the space service, and food. Everything was so fresh and abundant. We got the fresh shrimp spring rolls and lemongrass fried tofu with rice. The presentation was lovely and the spice level was perfect. A solid amount of food for a reasonable price and the staff was so kind. I will definitely return with friends! We were famished so no pictures!“

“Late post, but I still think about the noodles my husband and I had from here and hope one day I can come back to eat this again. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and there was still a few hours before they closed. Restaurant was filled and when we walked in, the hostess informed us they only had one more bowl of soup available for the day. We had been eating all day so we were ok to share the one bowl seeing that it was also the soup we wanted to try. While we sat and waited, the waitress came by to tell us they had a phone cancellation and asked if we wanted to have the second bowl. We kindly refused. It just happened that they had to turn a woman away since they were sold out for the day, but since we refused the second bowl; the male employee went out to find the lady to see if she wanted to come back for that last bowl of soup for the day. She got her meal and we got ours, all our lucky days! The restaurant only serves certain items each day. We wanted to try the Mi Quang and we were blown away. Flavor was so delicious and rich. We cleared up the entire bowl. My husband and I joked that we should have taken that second bowl because it was so good. We haven't eaten this dish before and now I've been on a lookout to try to find a restaurant that also serves mi quang. Must be rare because I haven't found very many near me that has this soup. I'll be sure to visit again to try other dishes but if I land on a day where there is mi quang again, I'll have to get that one. I tell many friends that this was one of our favorite stops of our trip. So glad we were able to try it.“

“My sweetheart has been getting her pho here for years. As a first timer, I couldn't get over the delicate and delicious pho broth. Really one of the best I've had. I got takeout so can't comment on service except to say the guy at the counter seemed unhappy- but everyone is entitled to being tired and not wanting to put on fake smiles. The "small" pho was plenty for two healthy servings. Ambience is typical of strip mall restaurants. Don't let that stop you from an exquisite pho!“

“This was a pleasant surprise. Everything we tried was delicious and cooked perfectly. The standout were the impossible egg rolls, as I've been staying away from Pork. Pho was delicious, salad rolls were on point, and the ambiance cool. Dope to be able to sit outside and get some fresh air. Staff was warm and inviting. I will definitely be returning on the regular.“

“Nicely decorated place with friendly staff that checked on us often. It was a Thai restaurant where the new owner now added a bunch of Vietnamese dishes. The pho were flavorful without being to salty. The beef rib pho has a giant piece of rib that satisfies the primal meat urges. The bao and wonton is a SE Asian take so didn't expect true Chinese flavors. That said, they tasted great - the bao had lemongrass pork and wontons in a sweet yet spicy sauce.“

“What an amazing surprise this was. I'd never had a Poke bowl before. It's basically like an asian sushi-themed salad bowl. I got it with the green onion tofu and built it up with salad greens and rice and seaweed, and omg this is by far the best salad I've had in a while. Also their staff is very friendly, the mom who owns the place is super nice, and yeah. My coworker says their mango smoothie thing is really good, and I haven't tried it yet but that's definitely my next thing to try. But yeah I highly, highly recommend this place. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but this was a 15/10. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Highly recommended!“

“I stumbled upon this place last fall while in the area and hungry for some early dinner. I was a bit dubious at first because the atmosphere is pretty boring and it's not much to look at, but as soon as our food came out, I was hooked! The spring rolls are cooked to perfection, the salad rolls are my favorite in town with delicious fresh, crunchy vegetables inside as well as tender prawns and pork. My vermicelli bowl was tasty, but the Thai food is really what put it over the top for me. The Tom Kha Soup is delightful, the Pad Woosen is my favorite, and the Pad Kee Mao is great too. I will eventually try more dishes, but I think I've ordered those every time I've been because they're are so good. The service is always great, and the guy is pretty funny if you get his sense of humor. He was super sweet the other night, and brought out my friend a birthday mango moose when he overheard us telling her happy birthday, even though we were there past closing.“

“This is a restaurant as well as a tea house and their food is delicious; some of the best I’ve ever had. The majority of their menu is gluten free and everything is clearly marked so you know what you’re getting. Service was quick, smooth, and the young man taking my order was kind and patient when I asked some questions. One of my questions was about the sweet sesame balls, which I didn’t end up ordering. When we were leaving, he ran after us and handed me a packet with a sesame ball, on the house. (It was different and also delicious!) The bill for my son and I came to $46 before tip, and we took leftovers home because the portions are pretty big. I will definitely be going here again.“

“Heard of this place thru friends and referral but did not get a chance to try their food until today. I’m very happy, impressed, and satisfied with the Special Sausage Egg Combo dish and Peach Tea drink this evening. Really love the generous portion in the box, the meat is so tender and so flavorful and the side veggie, pickle is so fresh. This dish is very common and can be found at any Vietnamese restaurant, but this place is definitely a step above. Recommended!“

“The staff is very friendly. From order to table is fast. Never been disappointed with the food. When they're busy they're super busy and the hassle bustle atmosphere adds passively to the experience (in my opinion). Must try. We will always keep coming back (since 2014)!“

“We had plans for a new Vietnamese soup place but found out - the day of - that they are only open until the soup is gone, and that is around 3 pm...and none of us could get to dinner before 6 pm, so we got lucky and found XinhXinh! 1) The customer service is outstanding! I wanted extra peanut sauce and they gave that to me, free of charge. 2) The food is fantastic! 3) Small place but was big enough for us 8. 4) Clean and easy street parking I ordered the spring rolls and sweet potato fries. Both delicious. I know, I know, I could get sweet potato fries any time - but it's what I was craving. My mistake was not ordering the bowls, like my friends did. Photos attached. A photo is worth a thousand words.“

“I am shocked to see so many bad reviews here! This place was recommended to us by some Portland natives and was easily the best bowl of pho i've ever had in my life! “We were blown away and so glad we stopped in to check out Fish Sauce. The atmosphere is very fun & welcoming. The staff were also welcoming, friendly, patient & helpful. Then came the incredibly delicious food! The sweet potato fries were crispy, just how we requested. The fresh lettuce salad w/ papaya and apple w/ a vinaigrette dressing was perfect. Our tofu and chicken sandwiches were full of crunchy, tasty veggies, as well. I planned to eat just half of everything but could not stop enjoying it all, it was that delicious. “We found this little gem because it has a dedicated gluten free kitchen, which is a rare find! When we sat down we were greeted immediately by the friendly and eccentric owner, Minh, who quickly seated us and began chatting with us. Appetizers came out quick, all the while, the owner came by the table to make his guests laugh and have a good time. He immediately felt like a friend to my partner and I, cracking jokes and chatting with us about Portland and our trip there. The pho was pho-king amazing! But really, so was everything we tried. The egg rolls, lettuce wrapped pork, and fried rice also complimented the meal exquisitely. Prices were reasonable, food was top-tier, wait times were low, and drinks were strong and creatively crafted! Every ingredient was fresh and high quality and I was able to eat everything with peace of mind knowing I wouldn't have any allergies. In between drinks, bites of food, and just because- Minh dragged my partner and I on stage to sing karaoke with him while he played guitar and made the overall experience feel like a little party! We were only in Portland for 4 days and we made a point to go a second time as our farewell meal in the city. We had just as much fun in the afternoon singing and eating great food and chatting with him about the local culture and history. This place is a must-visit for locals and out-of-towners without question!P.S. you have to see the Pho-to Copies when you get a chance!Dietary restrictions: Entire kitchen is dedicated gluten-free. “Well, the food is absolutely delicious If you can ever find them open. Within the last 2 weeks I have gone there 3 times during their hours of operation to find them closed every time. And I like their pizza Box that I drive 30 to 40 minutes to get there hoping that they are open. I like this so much I put them on Google along with a picture of myself, But my faith in them is faltering lately. So if you see tjem open, jump on it. It is dolicious.! But don't be disappointed if you drive across town to find them closed during business hours. So, I give doliscious a 5 rating on their food, but I give them a half for dependability or being able to rely on them being open. I definitely have a Love/Hate relationship with them right now.“

“A solid 3.6 Four months open now, it was the WW that had me cancelling Din Tai Feng and coming here instead. Husband and wife team at the helm-- was told by kind server that he is fluent in Vietnamese?!? What----- he must certainly have lived abroad. The space is exquisite-- best looking Viet joint I've ever been in-- the menu stationery and rice paper overlay so gorgeous-- Oblation worthy. The ca phe and the food---- so, so expensive for what you get! And I live in the Bay Area! The food and the cooking and the skulls are solid. But I m not sure they can sustain such a high high price point--- eapxaillyC they ain't in Nob Hill or Alberta--- is on SE Ash , with a paper supply store next door.... The environs cannot warrant the menu's prices. With items even as high as $65, and coffee drinks at $8-10, and pho from $20-24, my eyebrows are raised. But Hanoi style food I did try, and the menu has wonderful detailed explanations of the dishes. So cool Bathroom is outside and shared communally-- #02505! PS the pork belly was PERFECT.“

“Food was super authentic and nice. The atmosphere was super loud with music, and the lobby was dim. If you're not a person who likes loud music, then this is not for you. “This place is an ABSOLUTE TREASURE!! The banh mi is some of the tastiest I’ve ever had at the best price I’ve ever seen. Phuoc, the nun who runs the cart, speaks very little english but is the sweetest person in the world. “Quick In and Out Deli offers items made daily and refrigerated items. No dining in but they do have a high counter if you need to eat it there. I did it this time since I was hungry and on a quick lunch break and because my order, Bánh Bèo (small round and soft rice cake with a good amount of mung bean, dried shrimp paste, and sautéed scallions paired with drinkable homemade fish sauce) was so delicious. Bánh Bèo is one of the staples of Vietnamese street food! Their Bánh Bèo is way better than Phở Kim with flying colors! I'll say 4 out of 5 because the cake should have been a bit thinner. Otherwise, everything that came with it was spot on, tasty, and so yummy! They offer a decent and solid quality of various Vietnamese snacks and street food you can't find elsewhere, such as bánh giò, bánh ít, sesame ball with mung bean, to name a few. There are limited entries with soup and noodles also made to order such as porridge, and fried rice among other things. They cater food as well with reasonable price. I ordered a few months ago a tray of shrimp spring rolls and clear noodle chick stir-fried; they were delicious, cheap, and in good quantity. They do have Bánh Mì made to order. Vietnamese Ham is their specialty; they have various kinds of ham from regular to fried to delicacies such as snail-embedded!Small family-owned! It gives you the feeling of ordering food from your grandma. You have to check it out if you want to see what kind of Vietnamese street food they have!“

“Authentic, but what does that mean? For me it has to remind me of 90's Houston, TX -- barely 2 decades after the fall of Saigon and a major hub of Vietnamese American immigration. This was the place to get food as close to the old country as possible and if you are old school you will know the following meal: catfish braised in a caramelized sauce inside a clay pot accompanied by a savory-sour soup with flavors of tamarind, garlic, and chilis and loaded with veggies. Canh chua and cá kho to, find this on their menu and order it. It is spot on and takes me wayyyyy back.“

“Since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to stop by and try this place out. I am having the Bun Bo Hue dish and a side of salad rolls. The Bun Bo Hue soup is very flavorful and tastes good. All of the different kinds of meat in there were tender and good. The condiments of vegetables that went with the soup were fresh. This dish is worth a try for the people that like authentic dishes.. The soup is not everyone's cup of tea.... Everything in the pork and shrimp salad rolls tasted fresh other than the salad roll wraps could have been soaked in hot water a little bit longer to get it softer. This place is worth a try. They do have other dishes.“

“Get the PORK BELLY SANDWICH and the KILLER FRIES guys!!!! Let’s support this family owned business because it’s worth it!?Sandwich: Pork Belly is on a different level (Also recommend Lemongrass pork/chicken) The carrot and cucumber daico is so different than other places, which is a plus point from me. 10/10?Killer Fries: I found this on delivery app but couldn’t find it on the menu in store. I’m pretty sure it’s still available as a “secret” menu. It has fries, bulgogi meat, and 3 kinds of sauce. You have to give this a try!!! 10/10They also make their own hot sauce which is FIREEEEE?. Like what’s better than fresh sauce compare to on-the-market sauceI got the combo which is the sandwich, potsticker, and thai tea and everything is phenomenal. I didn’t expect it to be this good and you can feel the freshness of everything. I love family owned business and this place has prove its worth. Will come back for sure?“
