Quite possibly the worst service in Banff

Terrible bar. No energy. Refused to honour the half price appetizers for happy hour. We tried to order 30 minutes before it was over and the waiter said it didn’t apply. Overall the waiter was completely unhelpful and rude. Couldn’t imagine a worse institution to spend your time and money.

We went here looking for ladies all we found was old people. The waiter is greedy, would not give us 50%off apps. We did not like that.

This is the oldest pub in Banff and a place where a lot of locals come. They have live music every day. I had the vegetarian pizza without cheese (they offer vegan cheese though) and it was okay, tasted good but the dough was a bit stale. The nachos as a starter were great!

Les nachos vegan…. Le fromage vegan utilisé est le daiya, je ne suis pas une fan donc nous l'avons prit sans fromage… mais 5$ d'extra pour la guaccamole Beaucoup d'autres options aussi

The food here is good and I've always enjoyed the service. However, this review is for the live music the Rose and Crown regularly hosts. While the Rose is open to hosting all kinds of artists, they've put on a handful of incredible punk rock shows over the past year; established bands like Ten Foot Pole, The Penske File and Belvedere with support from local bands like Regal Foul. It's easy to find music like this in the city but it's getting rare to find venues that still bring these bands in up here in the mountains. The best part is, when I attend these shows, I'm meeting all kinds of people who are coming from out of town for a little Banff vacation while checking out the bands. Great venue, kudos to Rose and Crown for keeping live music a staple of their establishment. Oh yeah - also Wine Wednesday is off the hook if you're ever able to pop in mid-week.

Service was basically non existent. Had to go to the bar. A big pile of empties sat on our table when we got there. They sat there for easily an hour. Wasn’t the cleanest place but it was pretty busy so that’s somewhat understandable.

Can't go to Banff without stopping into the Rose and Crown . Its got the best Brit style vibe and gets rocking when bands hit the stage. Hard not to have a good time.
