Rose & Crown Banff Reviews
We ate upstairs at the outdoor patio. Immediately Dan came over to take our drink order, despite it being very crowded. The food was delicious and the view spectacular. Thank you Dan for great service.
We ate lunch on the rooftop and were the only ones there at first. It was so relaxing and the server was fabulous!
The rooftop seating area was AWESOME! Great views. Dan was our server and he was great.
This rooftop bar is deceiving though, and we almost gave up when we walked in the restaurant. They don’t advertise the rooftop part well, which doesn’t make sense to me. You really have to seek it out and wander upstairs. Absolutely worth doing. :)

Rose & Crown Banff is a bustling restaurant known for its amazing views and great cocktails. It offers a lively atmosphere, especially with live music typically starting around 10 PM. The stage is well-placed, ensuring good visibility for all guests. The restaurant features a large pool room for those looking to play while enjoying their time.
The menu recently launched a new selection just in time for summer, showcasing items like the Dog Pile, a tower of five hot dogs with crinkle fries, and the Colossal Caesar, which comes topped with sliders and snacks. Favorites include the Cast Iron Gouda Mac & Cheese and the Dirty Bird, while the white chocolate bread pudding is also a highlight. However, some guests have found service to be slow, with occasional issues regarding staff availability at the entrance.
While most food received positive reviews, one dish, the kung pao chicken, was disappointing for a guest, leading to an unsatisfactory resolution regarding a replacement. Despite this, the overall dining experience at Rose & Crown Banff remains enjoyable, especially on their popular summer patio.
