“We recently held a large family gathering at St. James Gate and honestly couldn't have been happier with how the whole thing came together. The staff were incredibly accommodating from the start, working with us to make sure everyone was taken care of, which is no small feat when you're dealing with a big group.
I went with the Sunday beef roast and it was exactly what you want from a roast, proper comfort food done right. Everything was cooked well, the portions were generous, and it actually tasted like someone put effort into it. Looking around the table, everyone had cleaned their plates and nobody had a complaint, which if you've ever tried to please a large family at a restaurant, you'll know is basically a miracle.
Service throughout was attentive without being overbearing. They kept things moving, checked in at the right moments, and handled the chaos of a big table with ease. The kind of place where you can tell the staff actually know what they're doing.
We'll absolutely be back, and I'd have zero hesitation recommending St. James Gate for anyone planning a group meal or just looking for a solid Sunday roast.“

“Great bar! It is the only one up tunnel mountain which is great for anyone who doesn’t want to venture all the way downtown and worry about getting a taxi back later when the buses have stopped. The live music and activities keep it fun, with karaoke being a big hit! It also has Free pool and darts if you want a more chilled night. Decent priced drinks so you don’t break the bank. The staff a fun and friendly too 🙂“

“The Rose And Crown Banff just launched a brand new menu just in time for summer!

🌭First up was the Dog Pile (Hot dog tower loaded with five hot dogs, crinkle fries, and all the toppings)

🍹We also tried the Colossal Caesar… and yes, it literally comes topped with sliders and snacks.

😍 But the items that really stood out? The Cast Iron Gouda Mac & Cheese, the Dirty Bird, and the white chocolate bread pudding!

Also, this is guaranteed one of the best summer patio spots in town! ☀️“

“It’s my second time at Waldhaus. I love the quieter space of their location and the view from their patio. Worth a visit. I will come back again in the future.

Today we had the sausages with mash and mustard seeds and it was delicious. I can never pass up on pretzels 🥨 so I had to take some home too.

There is a squirrel 🐿️ that lives around the deck area and is so cute and not afraid to walk on the patio and pass by our feet. It surly acts like it owns the place probably picking on any food bits that fall on the floor. It’s cute to watch. Today we were lucky that it was May 2nd and t-shirt weather so we really enjoyed sitting outside with an awesome view and our little squirrel 🐿️ companion.“
