My food came out in five minutes, Tony (my server) was the most hospitable and kind person I’ve encountered in the restaurant industry. “Blue Quill Chinese Food had been our go to place for about 10 years. Until about 2 -3 years ago, we felt the quality had just gone down hill. I’m sure alot of restaurants/business’s struggled back then. But pretty much every dish was just filled with onions and carrots and spouts, and small amounts of the actual item we’d order, and flavour wasn’t there either. We tried a couple times, but eventually stopped ordering from there unfortunately.

Well last night my kiddo begged for Chinese food, and since we haven’t found other places in the neighbourhood that we’ve loved either, I clicked on Blue Quill and started reading the reviews. It stated they've been under new management, and had some good experiences. We ordered, and I have to say I was so impressed and happy! Not alot of extra fillers, flavour was great, portion sizes were amazing . The chicken balls are GINORMOUS! With big pieces of chicken inside. Their sweet and sour sauce is the only one I actually like, more sweet then sour and the deep red color. Reminds me of the one that was served at a restaurant in BC that I used to work at.

I know in all those years, the original owners were absolutely sweet and hard working, I have no idea if they are still there, and just getting some help, but I’m truly happy to have my go to place back!

We ordered the Dinner for 2 combo with spring rolls. Subbed Pineapple Chicken Balls for just sweet and sour, and added an order of Shanghai Noodles (has Bbq pork-yumm) and received a free order of Deep Fried Wontons.“

“I have been trying to find a chinese food i like in edmonton, and have failed everytime until now! They are by far the best ive had yet....doeant make me feel sleepy or yucky within minutes of eating which is hard to find with chinese food. The ooonly thing i wasnt fond of was the sauce on the chow mein....kind taste like gravy but id imagine uf i asked for it without sauce thwy wouldnt mind..ill definitally be back!“

“Absolutely the worst Chinese food I ever ate...so called chop suey was nothing but bean sprouts in a watery broth with a couple of shrimp tossed in, deep fried prawns were almost all batter, the same with chicken balls. You had to pry the obnoxious batter off to find a tiny morsel of meat. Egg rolls were the same battered attrocity. I couldn't find anything in them worth eating. I spent $125.00 on unedited garbage...NEVER AGAIN! S“

“Just finishing eating for the second time in as many days. This place is unreal. Takeout, debit/cash only. I suggest calling a couple hours ahead to order as the first time I went and hadn’t ordered ahead so just got whatever they had left (still amazing!). Prices are exceptionally reasonable. I highly recommend this place and will be back very soon (maybe tomorrow).“

Food service is alright, but its chinese restaurant, so cant expect too much from here. Love the variety of soup base and food available at the buffet table! “Just Okay—Vancouver Dimsum Still Wins for Me..❤️
I stopped by Beijing Beijing for dimsum during a weekday lunch, and it was very busy—which says a lot about its popularity. Prices are super reasonable, and the variety is solid. Taste-wise, it was fine—not bad at all—but since I’m used to dimsum in Vancouver, my expectations were a bit higher. Service was decent considering how packed it was. Still, it’s worth checking out if you’re in the area—definitely a good spot to try if you’re craving dimsum in Edmonton! ❤️“

“The food is TO DIE FOR. Their tangsuyuk (탕수육) is possibly the best thing I have ever tasted in my life, and I am obsessed with it. I never leave this restaurant without getting an extra order of it to go.

The jjajangmyeon and jjamppong (it has a lot more seafood than I expected - you can't see it in the photo, but there were 2 crab halves buried under the mountain of noodles and soup) are amazing, and I always get either one of those with some tangsuyuk. These 3 dishes are the trifecta, the holy trinity of this restaurant.

I've tried some of their other dishes like their kanpunggi, dumplings, and fried rice, and they were decent, but nothing too special. I found it hard to care, though, because the holy trinity is so good, you don't need anything else.“
