“We were a group of 8 and were seated in Alices's room. Nice and cozy. We went for brunch. Food was served quickly and everything was tasty. Kiyana made sure to check in with us a few times to make sure everything was good. They have a great set up at the entrance of some delicious baked goods and their popular sourdough bread is always a nice treat to take home.“

“You will have to admit, you're getting a great mix of Egyptian and Greek flavors here. Deserves the lengthy review. I believe the owners are a family, in operation for about 2 years and you can really tell from their warm conversations that love goes into the food. The attention is not just a great service experience but a natural feeling of the intention they pour into what is hard work and quality food. Don’t know if it’s fair to say “service” or “atmosphere” or if it should just be called “the passion” expressing itself but you feel the hard work and enjoy the food more. The atmosphere was beyond any expectations as a result. Overall, the experience feels very genuine, making this my favorite place to eat in Edmonton right now. I am compelled by my first time here to highly recommend Pharaohs Restaurant—it’s a must-try.

The menu is small but well-chosen, all of what you would expect and want to eat in the genre of three cuisines, so everything is made just right. We ordered the platter for 2-3 people, but honestly, it’s enough for three. They did warn us and explained everything clearly, that you’ll want to save room for dessert. We were too full to enjoy dessert properly because each dish was so good—you’ll want to savor each one! Still, that just means you'll have to come back and try more and fit dessert. The Italian is woven in and fantastic! It’s a true fusion that stays true to its roots, without sacrificing authenticity. I’ve had good Greek food and homemade Egyptian dishes before, but I didn’t expect them to blend together so seamlessly. This is not Michelin Star but not your everyday home cooking either.

I know I have hyped it up and I clearly enjoyed it but it deserves this level of extended review even just for the next aspect I want to highlight. The cozy, authentic vibe is hard to find after the pandemic changed how many restaurants operate, but this one really stands out as what I only now innately remember was an excellent dine in experience pre-pandemic. Almost would not mind being stuck anymore on Gateway and Calgary Trail knowing I can just eat dinner here! The options in this part of town have not disappointed and many deserve a visit - but this one most of all.

“oh man. We tried Loma House for the first time last night. I'm newly(ish) mostly vegetarian, my better half is a carnivore. We had a bit of everything. I didn't tell him until after all of this was vegan. He said with food like this "I could be vegan!" To put this in perspective, this is coming from a man whose only wish for his birthday was some massive steaks. The food is phenomenally tasty!“

“Ordered the sliced noodles with egg & tomato sauce, minced pork sauce & hot chili oil (hot and spicy). The flavours were very good. The portion size was good too but can probably be shared. Overall, this is one of my favourite noodle places for Chinese northern style noodles.“

“The best pizza I have ever had! The crust is thin and crispy, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. I especially love the hot sauce pizza with banana pepper and mushrooms . The staff is also very friendly and accommodating.Espcially Sukhnoor , Mannu and gurleen who literally walked me through their whole menu . “Excellent dining experience spanning service, atmosphere and the food. When walking in you are reminded of being in an old world Tuscany village with earth tones all over the place. The place is really clean too.
I had the tomato bisque as recommended by my lovely server. The soup is creamy and tangy with the right amount of salt. This is a very good zuppa.
The next dish I chose to eat was Roman Style Carbonara inspired by the Gambino boss's favorite meal. The chef was nice enough to accomodate my special request as the restys version had cream in it.
The carbonara's pancetta smoky and meaty. The eggs sauce was perfect.

“We placed an order for pick-up in person on a Friday morning in November. The conditions were icy, but they had lots of nearby parking and they salted their sidewalk. There was no wait to place our order, and the server was very friendly. We ordered a meatball hero sandwich with a side caesar, bruschetta, Siciliana meat lover’s pizza, and a spaghetti bolognese. The wait time was reasonable, so we checked out a couple stores nearby while we waited. We came back to grab our food and the friendly server offered napkins and cutlery though we declined. We made it home (20 mins) and the food was still very warm. The boyfriend loved all the food except we agreed the pizza dough was a little undercooked in spots (random folds in the dough). Everything (including the pizza) was delicious. The bruschetta had a touch of sweetness from the balsamic, though there wasn’t as much parmesan as we would have liked. We both agreed we would eat from Famoso again, though maybe dine-in for pizza.“

“We have been ordering sandwiches and treats for all our staff during the busy holidays at our shop. For over a decade They keep us fed and happy. We had to get individual wrapped sandwiches during the pandemic. And they were fabulous as always. The food is delicious. The service is amazing. Thank you for feeding us during our busiest times.“
