Cafe du Parc is a hidden gem located beside the North Glenmore Park Inclusive Playground, at parking lot L. This walk-up cafe offers speciality coffees, espressos, oat milk lattes, hot chocolate, and delicious cappuccinos. The cafe serves amazing drinks from a La Marzocco machine and has a large drink menu, making it easy to find something for the whole family. It is kid-friendly with snacks, ice cream, butter block cookies, tasty croissants, and pizza available. The owner and his family are always welcoming, greeting guests with a smile. Although there are no bathrooms, port-a-potties are nearby, and there are plenty of trees for shade. The cafe is easily accessible from multiple parking lots and has a good skating park behind it, making it a perfect spot to warm up with a drink after skating or a long walk. Service and prices are better than Starbucks, and it’s a great way to support a local entrepreneur. The pastries tend to run out by the afternoon, so visiting earlier is recommended for a better selection. Sometimes they have extended hours that aren’t advertised on Google Maps.
