The owners are lovely and make me smile: it had been at least a year since I visited one time and I walked in (while they were busy with a line, mind you) and they immediately recognized me and greeted me by name and remembered my usual order. Amazing.

“Great Korean BBQ. We enjoyed the Katsu Bowl with a side of Mandu, Bibimbop with a side of Takoyaki (not my fav, but my son loved them), BBQ Bowl, and Dosirock.
Katsu is the family's favorite, but all are tasty. I jangsa'd (upsized) my bibimbop, and it was worth it.
Bathroom was clean.
Highly recommend if you are looking for good Korean BBQ.“

“Ordered a mild version of their jjamppong. They definitely didn't cheap out with the ingredients. The noodles had real crab, shrimps, mussel and octopus. Flavourful soup with 2 side dishes (radish and macaroni). Very impressed with the taste and quality.“

“In bow vallet square, +15 connected food court. Has lineup. Fast assembly line. Good number of topping extras, and you chose your heat and meat. Lots of sauce. I like sweet and found it very sweet, the chicken was too sweet, but still okay. Value good for current prices, around $12.“

I like the chicken and seafood one and the whole meal feels very cozy. The mandu's also feel like the traditional ones you find in Korea. Don't know anywhere else you can find these!“

“We came here late at night and the atmosphere was amazing. The drinks are tasty and the tteokbokki is so yummy. Shout out to the waiter who served us. He was so kind and welcoming and invited us to sing karaoke which I think made things so much fun. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and he gave us a complimentary freezies! “Located in one of those unique areas where there isn't much around but this is a hole in the wall. Great traditional food in food portions and pricing. It can get rather quiet here in this area. No parking - need to find street parking.“

“Great Korean spot. Came in with a group of friends. The menu is not large but what they have, they do well. The interior is old school and charming. Friendly staff and delicious food. The beef bulgogi and cold noodle dishes were excellent, and the accompanying side dishes were generous and fresh. Great value as well, probably on the less expensive end for Korean restaurants in the city. Would love to return.“

“My wife and I popped into Roy's last night. It's a bit hard to find, it's in the main floor of the Heritage building on MacLeod Tr. It's not like a regular restaurant as it's in the atrium of the building. Do Not let that stop you. The food is blow your mind good. We had the Soy Maple Brussel sprouts, the Gochujang chicken wings, the Korean curry bowl and the Sesame Noodle salad. It was all so tasty, but the Brussel sprouts and the wings are something I could eat all day. We took our half eaten mains home as we were too stuffed. This is Korean food at it's best. Thanks Roy!! We will be back for takeout or delivery.

“It's a cozy Korean bar/ restaurant that everyone is friendly and foods are great. We had seafood jjigae and slow cooked pork belly with some drinks. Everything is good but my favourite is jjigae. I would love to go back when I am in the area.“

“Cute little Korean restaurant downtown near the train. We ordered the duck salad and bibimbap with beef. The mustard dressing on the duck salad was very tasty, although I think the duck might just be the cold smoked duck you can get at most grocery stores. The bibimbap had super tasty mushrooms and kimchi in it, and the stone bowl is always a treat (be mindful they charge $2 more if you want the stone bowl).

The side dishes were pretty good (the bean curd is my favourite), but I think I might have wanted extra kimchi instead of the little cut up hot dogs as a side dish. They were good too (as was the corn salad that also came as a side), but I just love kimchi!“

“I’m always on the hunt for soy raw marinated crab as it is not commonly sold in Korean restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed it here. BUSAN’s portions for the price are extremely generous and delicious. You cannot beat $48.99 CAD for 2 people, especially for the taste. I’ve had 1 (small) crab in Las Vegas for $82 CAD and the taste was salty, bland and underwhelming. Probably the worst I’ve ever had. BUSAN’s soy marinated crab is on par with Odarjip in Myeongdong, Seoul, KR. The crab was perfectly balanced in sweetness, savoriness, and spiciness and I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better. I wish I lived in Calgary so I can eat this here more often — but if you’re on the fence with trying soy raw marinated crab or looking to get your fix, give BUSAN a chance!“

“My go to Korean spot in the city! I’ve had a lot of Korean food and considering price point, value and taste, I think this place is the best bang for your buck. Service is quick and everyone is really nice. Their sides stand out to me as being really well prepared + refills are free. Single serving stews are packed with lots of ingredients.
