The engironment feels welcoming when coming in and when it was cold outside, the servers really welcomed us especially the server Angelica who made us feel warm after coming from the winter weather. Would definately recommend this place for a cold night out.“

The owners are lovely and make me smile: it had been at least a year since I visited one time and I walked in (while they were busy with a line, mind you) and they immediately recognized me and greeted me by name and remembered my usual order. Amazing.

“I had an amazing meal here! The bibimbap bowl was fresh, colorful, and packed with flavor. The combination of perfectly seasoned beef, crispy fried egg, and fresh veggies like spinach, carrots, and bean sprouts over rice made for a balanced and hearty dish.

The dumplings were a standout—crispy, golden, and topped with a flavorful sauce that complemented them perfectly. They were the perfect side dish to pair with the main bowl.

I also loved the refreshing Dole orange juice that rounded out the meal. Everything was well-presented and served quickly. Definitely a place I’d recommend for a delicious and satisfying meal.

“Nice new Katsu spot in Royal Oak area. The price is very reasonable, good portion too. Super busy for take out and such, good for small family or friends dinner, wouldn’t recommend for large groups based on their capacity. Happy to revisit for sure.“

“Ordered a mild version of their jjamppong. They definitely didn't cheap out with the ingredients. The noodles had real crab, shrimps, mussel and octopus. Flavourful soup with 2 side dishes (radish and macaroni). Very impressed with the taste and quality.“

“Great prices, great portions, and great flavor. The venue isn't the fanciest, it's quite small, and quite hot inside but for a quick lunch it's worthwhile. I got the spicy pork rice bowl, which came with a small side of soup, and two small taiyaki desserts. The owners seem to be Korean and the flavors seemed authentic and absolutely delicious like I said!“

“We came here late at night and the atmosphere was amazing. The drinks are tasty and the tteokbokki is so yummy. Shout out to the waiter who served us. “My wife and I popped into Roy's last night. It's a bit hard to find, it's in the main floor of the Heritage building on MacLeod Tr. It's not like a regular restaurant as it's in the atrium of the building. Do Not let that stop you. The food is blow your mind good. We had the Soy Maple Brussel sprouts, the Gochujang chicken wings, the Korean curry bowl and the Sesame Noodle salad. It was all so tasty, but the Brussel sprouts and the wings are something I could eat all day. We took our half eaten mains home as we were too stuffed. This is Korean food at it's best. Thanks Roy!! We will be back for takeout or delivery.

“It's a cozy Korean bar/ restaurant that everyone is friendly and foods are great. We had seafood jjigae and slow cooked pork belly with some drinks. Everything is good but my favourite is jjigae. I would love to go back when I am in the area.“

“Cute little Korean restaurant downtown near the train. We ordered the duck salad and bibimbap with beef. The mustard dressing on the duck salad was very tasty, although I think the duck might just be the cold smoked duck you can get at most grocery stores. The bibimbap had super tasty mushrooms and kimchi in it, and the stone bowl is always a treat (be mindful they charge $2 more if you want the stone bowl).

The side dishes were pretty good (the bean curd is my favourite), but I think I might have wanted extra kimchi instead of the little cut up hot dogs as a side dish. They were good too (as was the corn salad that also came as a side), but I just love kimchi!“

“My go to Korean spot in the city! I’ve had a lot of Korean food and considering price point, value and taste, I think this place is the best bang for your buck. Service is quick and everyone is really nice. Their sides stand out to me as being really well prepared + refills are free. Single serving stews are packed with lots of ingredients.
